State won 7 games in what was supposed to be an awesome season.
State will always be State and will never seriously contend for an SEC title or regularly win more than 7 games. And yes, I realize it has happened before, but y'all caught lightening in a bottle.

My bad, I didn't qualify it by saying winning the SEC Championship game. I didn't include KY, Vandy, Ole Miss or State....for obvious reasons. lol

Arky if they still had Petrino. they're equivalent to Ole Miss now, or at least they will be in a year or two.
Nonsense. They have Paul Petrino, which is really just as good as having Bobby Petrino. And Paul's really the head coach, even though Jawnell is the head coach.

I honestly think that if Arkansas was going to do it, they would've done it by now
SEC West was seriously down in the 90's and early 00's. Arky still couldn't capitalize on it.
now LSU and Bama ain't going away anytime soon.

Going out on a limb and gonna say Mizzou. Pinkel is a good coach. It will take them a few years to adjust but being in the East (as previously stated) is to their advantage.
USCe- just can't seem to get over the hump
Arky- Not as long as John L Smith is coach. Lot of talent on offense this year, but the defense is still not tough enough to win the west.

Not a chance. Don't have what it takes to even finish 3rd in the west (aka Arky's bitch)

If we are talking football:
Arky - they have a lead in the talent department over the others
A&M - they have the resources to be good if they get the right coach in there
USCe - their window appears to be closing
Mizzou - will be interesting to see how they adapt to the SEC

Why? You think I would expect anything less? Hell, you guys already claimed the CWS after winning the first game there, and made assertions that you were the best overall sports program in the SEC. Hell, you are an elite football program, why would I not expect you to pick yourselves. Interesting though what the other fanbases are saying...they don't really fall in line with you.
funny but the two posts between yours and mine that said arky were from a bama and georgia fan.
good day obsessed one.

I'm gonna go with Mizzou. If Spurrier doesn't get it done in the next 2 yrs, I don't think he will. Arky and Aggies have to get through Bama, Lsu, Auburn and each other. Not gonna happen for some time, I think. Mizzou, in the East, will have the best opportunity to get to the SEC CG and pull an upset to win one first among those teams you listed.

We definately have the resources and recruiting to compete for the title in the next 4 years or so, but we still need a good coach to piece it all together. I am confident that Sumlin is that guy, but nobody can really say right now.

1. TAMU
2. USC (with Spurrier)
3. Mizzou
4. USC (without Spurrier)
5. Arky

Well have to see who we hire. However since we have one of the best ADs in the business I can't imagine that we would flub the hire very badly. USC has one decent run in their entire history of football so their chances depend solely on spurrier as far as I'm concerned. Atm will eventually be good but I'm not buying sumlins offense working in the sec. Missouri is still Missouri they were mediocre in the weak division of the big 12 the same will happen in the weak sec division. Long story short Arkansas and usc have the best chances with usc being picked as a slight favorite in my opinion.

I would say at least 80% of other fans don't view arky as a threat to win SEC. WDE has absolutely no credibility...he is very young, and can't really understand the following:
Arkansas has pretty good offensive talent right now, no defense talent, so not going to win it this year. Arky has not been recruiting well, and this year is especially bad, which will hurt them going forward.
Texas A&M is in a great position to capitalize on the texas talent, and I expect they will do so. He can't see that. None of those are winning the SEC this year.....we are talking about in a few years.

What exactly has arkansas done since they joined a real league?
I don't think you get the goldmine that A&M has in recruiting now that they are SEC. Arky will not have near the talent they do.
