white people tend to be stupid
So let me clear it up. All people tend to be stupid. And driven by fear, and greed. Really just shite throwing monkeys that can talk. It really doesn't matter how much melanin is in their skin

I am white and chose to marry a white woman. Does this make me a rascist?

The frick?

If you express dislike for someone of another race and cite their race, that's racism. That applies regardless of the race of the speaker. Not sure what "cover argument," you're trying to infer, here, but you're mistaken.

Are you talking about his 'style' or his character? Those are two different things.
Does he respect the game, other players, display integrity, honesty, and a genuine willingness to help others? Is he a great leader?

OP said "style," so that's what I was responding to.
You can have a problem with or like either a person's style or character without being racist one way or another.
The rub is if/when you tack on race to either of those as a reason for liking or disliking. Most folks don't do that, though.

His character because to me he has shown poor character in crucial moments. In the SB he seemed to be playing for himself.
His style his fun. He's a fun guy, but he just appears to care more about his personal stats or glory then the teams. He said that we had not seen anything like him before, or that because he's black that may scare people. He's very self centered.

Grey area but just disliking someone for the color of their skin is more in line of Bigotry. Being a Racist is believing you are superior to someone because of your race. You can dislike someone without a feeling of superiority (i.e. so-and-so only got that promotion because they're a minority)

Point taken and well made

And this is kind of the problem with the whole situation. People yell "racists" from either side(racially divided and judgmentally divided). Not everyone is a blatant racist. Its a very strong word for the topic, that is not all inclusive to the problems

you make good points OP.. but the fact is it isnt just pigment to everyone. With a lot of people, it is about race. You cant keep looking the other way with racism as if it's imaginary.

Ironically I saw an article today where Jason Williams was talking about the hate for white players that play for Duke Basketball compared to their black counterparts.
Can't I just hate any motherfricker that plays for Duke? Am I no longer allowed to be an equal opportunity hater?

Skin color has nothing to do with the heart and character of a human being. It's a pigment. There is good character and bad character, and it shows in professional athletes because they are put in emotionally stressful situations very often. Cam has displayed both, but in the most crucial moments he tends to portray bad character. This is why I personally don't care for him. Race is the last thing on at least my mind when I'm seing a character issue.
Probably has more to do with people calling the guy a "thug". How is cam a thug. Is it because of his skin color. How does he act like a "thug"?? The guy is friendly, smiles, dances, give balls to kids, etc.

No, not necessarily. The thing is that you have to apply the same criteria of judgment to people regardless of their skin color. A lot of people have a problem with Cam dancing after a TD, but no problem with Aaron Rodgers doing his "championship belt" thing, just for example. Or how a young black kid with his hood up is a "thug", but a young white kid with his hood up is just cold.
People think that there's a strict dichotomy of "racist" or "not racist". There's a whole spectrum in between there. You can be "not racist" in the sense that you don't outwardly and openly hate black people. But at the same time you can harbor certain prejudices that cause you to judge people differently based on their skin color. People don't think about that grey area and how latent racism can underpin the way they see things.
Not trying to soapbox, but people should think about this stuff every now and then. I'm white, for what it's worth.

Amen!
Look at all the accidental and deliberate shootings of unarmed white males ages 12 and up by black and brown officers. You don't hear anything. Charge them for killing 4 people, they scream "affluenza" and get off. This is bs!
Glad someone had the balls to post this message. Racism is out of style. Whites are the real victims.

Actually, I think you can be called racist for even asking this question. Pretty much any speech that isn't you putting down the white race can be considered hate speech.
