I like the idea of the SWC coming back, but with TV markets dominating the landscape now, there is no chance. Having teams in your conference like Rice, SMU, Cougar High, Baylor, TCU, etc. would hurt.

UNC doesn't even have an engineering college, and average . high school GPA of freshman enrolled is higher at NCSU than UNC.

For some in this conference bringing in aggy was a mistake because of the potential of hurting the SEC brand.
Bringing in Texas would have been much smarter because there would be no question that the SEC was #1 brand in the state.

The SEC is the brand in Texas. Nobody loves the BDF, even fans of schools in it know it is the jv.
