football is head and shoulders over the other two but I would have to consider B. Going through a championship season twice would be awesome, plus there are so many more games in basketball and baseball and it would improve your football program in the long run because of all the exposure. It would really be tough to choose for me. Most schools don't care about baseball so it's easily A.
Basketball is for the Big East.
Sure it's fun to win but nobody in the SEC really cares outside of Kentucky.
Any Bama fan who would rather win a basketball title than football is crazy. Our reputation is built around football. Winning a basketball title would just be a fluke and we'd still be a crappy basketball school. Winning a basketball title isn't even exciting enough to make me post about printing t-shirts.

A and it isn't even particularly close. The best, elite young players in basketball and baseball rarely stay in college for more than three years. They're either in the minors or in the NBA.

B.
At Bama we can just claim another championships in football any time we want, we can't do that in basketball and baseball.

I pretty much agree with this.
The best baseball players skip college and go right to the minor leagues.
The best basketball players are one and done. The Magic and Bird days don't exist anymore.
Football is a more popular sport and the players usually represent your school for 3 to 5 years outside of Juco guys and dropouts.
Very few people get excited about college baseball. Even pro baseball has lost much of its popularity.
College basketball is ok but people normally don't even watch until the tournament because they've opened it up to the top 2700 teams.
Football is the most popular sport by far. The NFL and NCAA dominate ratings and popularity. That is the sport I'd want to win in.

Hard to believe a MSU guy could make that statement. Most schools in the SEC, Big 12, ACC and Pac 12 do care about baseball. Every one of those schools has their share of fans who don't follow baseball but that doesn't change the fact that more and more schools are gearing up now that ESPN has ponied up for the TV contract which includes regular season baseball.

I don't understand this.

There's more teams and you have to go through a playoff.

The thing about baseball is that the game has become more popular outside of the U.S. It's big in places like Japan, Dominican Republican, Cuba, Puerto Rico, Korea, Taiwan, etc... That's also the crux of the problem. All the best young players are coming from the Latino countries who are hungry and desperate to succeed.

I just agreed with Bench. Crap.

Kentucky and Memphis under Calipari says hello. And Big East basketball is every bit as dirty as SEC football.

It looks like Bama is the only team with a decent amount of fans who would rather have a basketball title.....interesting.

B. Basketball titles are sweet

Back to Back, to Back, a rest, and then another one
2 in football, and 2 in basketball in a three year span...
And baseball isn't that big in Puerto Rico. Certainly not even close how it was in the 70s while Roberto Clemente was playing.
I want another basketball one like this year. Probably won't happen, and that is OK. Winning the NCAA tournament is much harder than getting the crystal ball in football IMO.

This is so true. Look at Kansas last year in basketball. They dominated during the regular season and were the heavy favorite to win it all. If it were football, they would've been in the Championship game and may have won. But instead they got upset in the second round of the tournament.
