If you are an SEC guy and you aren’t pulling for Auburn you are a hater

And nothing more. I will make an exception for selected Alabama and Georgia fans because of the ancient hatreds . But if you can’t feel just a little bit of happiness for a fellow SEC program that has accomplished what Auburn has, and for the first time in school history, you may be more of an a-hole than you think you are.
Personally, I look forward to a time where multiple SEC teams play at a high level every single year. Then we will have a valid reason to bring our loathing for each other up to normal football levels. But for now, War Eagle.

I still remember that feeling when it hit me that "damn, my team is in the Final Freaking Four"

I'm not pulling for or against Auburn. I'd rather see them win than any of the other three teams, but won't be upset if they don't.

Tech is like watching paint dry, and UVA is one of those ACC teams you just hate. I like Izzo, so it is between Auburn and MSU

Yeah, I’m not saying you have to cry if they lose. But give them their due and be smart enough to know how it helps the whole league. Plus it’s just a fun style of team to pull for from a basketball standpoint.

wow, I love both of those team. Their styles, at least. Texas Tech is long and nasty. Virginia plays great team basketball.

I enjoyed watching Dontae Jones that season as much as any other player in my lifetime.

Auburn winning a national championship does not help the rest of the SEC in any significant way. Despite your exception for UGA, that's not why I am not "pulling for Auburn"... it simply doesn't benefit my school. Granted, UGA basketball isn't exactly what we'd call "top notch" historically, so it doesn't impact us tremendously, *but* with the incoming recruiting class, and going forward, it would be easier to recruit against an Auburn that hasn't won a National Championship with Bruce Pearl, than one that has...
Call me crazy, but I generally look for things to improve my enjoyment as a fan, and Auburn winning doesn't do that.
I'm not actively "rooting against them"... I just don't have any desire to see them win either.

I love good basketball, I've always pulled for any SEC team that makes it far in the tourney. I've been pulling for AU for weeks.

Watching Darryl Wilson hobbling around in walking boots all week, because his shin splints were so bad that he couldn't walk, and then lacing up and raining threes on everybody. I'll never forget it

Exactly this. I'm not an "SEC guy", I'm a UGA guy. I pretty much pull against the success of all other SEC teams in all other sports, becuase their success TYPICALLY is a direct hindrance to UGA succeeding, whether it be on-field or espeically in recruiting.
As a fan of another program (let's throw away bama and uga here for obvious reasons), what possible gain or happiness should I get from seeing AU win it all? If I'm an LSU or arkansas fan, why in teh world would I want to be recruiting against an SEC west team coming off a national championship? It's non-sensical.

I was pulling for UT because I like Barnes. I will pull for Auburn but not a big fan of Pearl.
