What about the automatic rule? The one that states the top 4 teams in the BCS are automatically in a BCS bowl. I am pretty sure their is a rule like that.

I too would think that unfair. An 11-1 team, sitting at #3 in the BCS, with the only loss to #1/#2 Alabama, with only a trip to the Capital One Bowl to look forward to would be very bad for the sport indeed.

Only way a conference can have three teams in BCS games is if they have two teams ranked 1-2 in the final BCS poll and another team wins the conference championship and autobid.

Correct. Georgia would have to win the conference in order to have 3 sec teams in bcs games

Don't whine, schedule better nonconference opponents. Your problem is computer polls and that can be fixed if you somehow grow the balls to schedule tougher teams.

It's bad luck on our part, A&M was #8 preseason, and if you look at our non-con schedule over the last 10 years it's harder than anyone in the SEC IMO Texas/USC/A&M etc. every year

yeah i'm not sure if we'll be able to pick up a quality non-con either now that A&M is SEC
