Whorn now gonna get 100% FIVE STAR recruits. FOREVER.Enjoy beating them through 2024.
Whorn are terrible winners. TERRIBLE. Whorn band learning Rammer Jammer for BDS.
We really need to raise the standards for posting on this board with Texas and OU about to flood it.

When you commented on that post did it come with a code book to help decipher it?

We need to enjoy 2021. If OU and Texas get in for 2022, this board is going to go nuts. I am looking forward to the Texas melts when they lose to Miss St/Arkansas/etc though.

Not based on your recent performances.

Yeah someone should go to both schools and explain to them what the SEC is like before they sign on the dotted line. Gone will be the days of just rolling the old helmet out to midfield and getting a W. If they don’t bring it every week in the SEC the Vandy can beat them. I’m afraid they don’t realize that winning the SEC is extremely hard. OU won’t win the SEC 10+ years in a row like they have the Big 12. Seems like every year OU is the Big 12 Champ. Well if they can win the SEC once in that time span they should be thrilled.

OU and TX resumes are more impressive than most in the SEC. They are in the mix.
True as to Oklahoma, false as to Texas. But we need to see some on-field performance from them in any case. Tennessee has a more impressive resume on paper if you look at their whole history, but they forfeited their position some time ago.

Pat Forde summed up our last decade pretty well when he described us (Texas) as the rich kid who keeps crashing the Ferrari.
Hopefully we have the right guy now. I make no predictions for our first season in your league. I can wait to see how it plays out.
I'll reveal some ignorance; what is the Big Six?

Last National championships (and last Conference Championships)
Tennessee: 1998 (1998)
Oklahoma: 2000 (2020)
Auburn: 2010 (2013)
Texas: 2005 (2009)
Doesn’t make since

The original Big 12 was a pretty tough conference to win..I don't think OU or UT need any explanation about what tough football looks like...

Hahahahaha!!!!!! You don’t have a clue. Look there is not a fan of any SEC team on this board that does not know what I’m talking about. Look it’s one thing to play a SEC team at a neutral site the first game of the year or a bowl game. Even during the season. That’s one game. Then that team gets to go feed on the weak for another few weeks and everything is good. Meanwhile that SEC team has to continue in the meat grinder.
There is a reason Nick Saban and Alabama does not win the NC every year. It’s because they have to play in the SEC. It’s hard to play in the SEC. It’s tough and physical and both teams beat each other’s brains out only to do it again next week and the week after and so on till the season is over. Everyone has NFL caliber talent all over the field. Depth is what divides top from bottom in this league. Texas A&M has been able to say for nearly 10 years now that if a player comes play for them they can play in the SEC. only school in Texas to be able to say that. And it hasn’t got them 1 extra win in the W column. That’s because the other 13 schools has their share of those type players too.
Then you when you go on the road in this league you ain’t going to Ames Iowa, Manhattan or Lawrence Kansas or Lubbock Texas. It’s different in the SEC. When you go to a stadium in the SEC every seat is sold out from Tuscaloosa Al to Nashville Tn. And if your team is favored to win and goes out and gives another team hope the crowds will erupt and the louder they get the harder the game gets to win. It’s hard going to Starkville and dealing with the cowbells. It’s hard going to Knoxville and playing in front of 104 thousand plus. It’s hard going to the Swamp, Jordan Hare, or Athens and win a football game. It’s hard going to play in Death Valley and playing at night when those LSU fans have been drinking all day. They get louder the drunker they get I think. Every place you go in this league is just hard. It’s a dog fight every week. I’m not saying it’s not hard to play in the Big 12 but the SEC is just different. That’s why you hear the SEC chant so much after a SEC teams wins a OOC game. We all know how hard it is to win in this league and we are proud of that. If OU and Texas wants to join this league then you better buckle your chin strap Dorothy because if you are gonna win in this league you gonna earn it. You guys may as well be playing powder puff football right now. But I will tell you this yes it’s hard to win here but you will enjoy the winning that much more because it is so hard. It makes it that much more fun and gratifying to see your team succeed because it is so tough here. You won’t get to dominate as much as you do in the Big 12 but it’s worth it just to experience the top of the mountain when it is so hard to climb and I don’t think there is a fan of any SEC school on here that wouldn’t agree with that.

The Big Six are Alabama, Auburn, Florida, Georgia, LSU, and Tennessee. When we first went to divisions back in 1992, conference balance dictated splitting the big six into three teams per division. LSU and the Alabama schools went West, the rest East. To protect the Alabama-Tennessee and Auburn-Georgia rivalries (two of the four cornerstone rivalries of the conference, equivalent to your rivalry with Oklahoma; the other two are Alabama-Auburn and Florida-Georgia), each member of the Big Six was paired with one from the other division. Alabama and Tennessee were paired, as were Auburn and Georgia. LSU and Florida were leftover and developed our own rivalry following Spurrier whooping our arse over and over in the 90s and our programs winning four straight titles in the 2000s.
