If this doesn't show that NIL is out of control...

Not long ago, guys were leaving college early just for a shot at an NFL contract. Now, they're begging to stay in the NCAA as long as possible... it's crazy, I think the average age on the IU football team last year was over 23. How is that even possible?
It's not even NIL money these guys are getting, most of it is just "pay for play". The money being paid out doesn't really help the company or alum it's coming from beyond hopefully stacking their favorite team. NIL was supposed to be a mutual gain for both parties and significantly enhance their revenue/ image.
I guess this is to be expected when guys get paid close to 7 figures just to a starter in most cases.
Anyway, I'm 30 now and that's my "get off my lawn" speech for the day. I miss the way things were.

Just wait until players retire from the nfl to come back to college. Imagine chase and Jefferson coming back to LSU once they retire from the nfl

Because most players get bullshite degrees and most of them aren’t playing in the NFL.
We’ve got kids making a good amount as college players who won’t even ride the bench in the NFL, but now they’re paid so college football is their job and even a token attempt at a degree is laughable.

LSU is one of the top in NIL. You should be ashamed that your school has been doing this for a while.
