Well you are absolved, but that guy is a big fat homer. Click on the link I posted and scroll up and down on the list and you will see what he did. Do you not think it is odd that Florida isn't listed when they have zero losses?

He was likely doing what most fanbases do and making his look as good as possible.

It doesn’t even matter because once conf starts no one is going undefeated. Just try to soak it in now because the talk in Jan/Feb/Mar will be bad refs costing games. And its looking like with so many good SEC teams the games will be close and refs will matter. Everyone is going to get shafted at one point just gotta hope its not too many.

Correction you are a homer too. Leaving someone off the top of a list of the best records to make your team look better means you are full of shite. It is not what most people do. He made you look stupid, and you seem to be OK with it.

I’ve been thrilled by how UGA has started this season, but then we start SEC play @ #19 Ole Miss, vs #5 UK, vs #13 Oklahoma, @ #1 Tennessee, and vs #2 Auburn. We could very easily start out 0-5 in conference play.

Yes, but depending on how you look in those games you may still be a good team. The SEC is just stupid this year, which sucks for LSU because watching our guys play, the look so much better than last year, but the record probably won’t show it.

Wins will be absolutely huge. Road wins will be worth their weight in gold. There isn't a bad loss in the conference at this point, which makes getting 12 teams in the tourney a very good possibility. What the conference has done in the non-conference is amazing, really.

Honest question, does conference play essentially have to be equal for this to be true, or can the bottom teams be bad (2-5 wins in conference) and there still be no “bad losses”?

There are a few teams you really should beat at home, but on the road, I agree, there is no "bad loss" in the SEC this year.

A Q2 loss is far from the end of the world.

Auburn is on pace to play 22 Quad 1 games in the 31-game regular season.

I know the Quad system is fairly young, but that has to be a record I would think.

What number designates a Q2 team? Outside the top 50?

That’s where NET should save us (in theory). It generally doesn’t punish you much for losses to good teams. It’s essentially baked in after noncon and we’ll just move around within the conference.

Quad 1 is:

Top 30 at home
Top 50 at a neural site
Top 75 on the road

Quad 2 is

31-75 at home
51-100 neutral
76-135 on the road

Appreciate the education.

Is it possible that the SEC has the best conference in Football, Basketball, and Baseball this year?

Football is probably debatable. Basketball and baseball no doubt.

Guy, come off it, stop being a crybaby

Clearly this OU poster doesn’t think about Florida. I mean they haven’t been relevant since 2007.

Get a new schtick

That really hurts. Esp posting my name for dramatic effect.

Since you brought up relevancy, when was Georgia last relevant in basketball? Or were you not wanting to discuss basketball in a basketball thread?

Two of our first three SEC games are Auburn and Alabama.

At least they're at home, so instead of losing by 30+ we can hold it to hopefully under 25.

Yes it will be. I'm glad the conference has so dramatically upgraded it's basketball offerings. The two AU vs UA games should be pretty awesome matchups.

I’d much rather discuss why a known pedophile is still leading your program.

Golden is an either a gross criminal creep, or the most insecure late-bloomer I’ve ever come across.

The real life 40yr old virgin. Not fit to lead anyone.
