You guys who think the BIG is as dumb as Sankey are funny. If the BIG were willing to go with the SEC then Pettiti would have been standing next to him. If anything Sankey just painted the SEC into a corner as his statement that he thought would be a big moment was met with a yawn.
And the BIG noticed. And if the BIG were actually talking to the SEC about leaving together do you really believe Sankey, during a July press conference, would be allowed to announce it to the world?
The BIG is building a national conference and they have the pulpit with 3 straight Natties and good will. The SEC is regarded as the bully. It would be hilarious to see the SEC start their own league and then have everyone else join the BIG. It may take a couple of years but they would start losing their reputation. There are only so many LSU-UGA type games to go around. The reality is you’d have a lot of Kentucky-Arkansas matchups.

The cost to leave the NCAA, from revenue lost to legal judgements when they get sued and lose goes into the tens of billions of dollars.
I would ignore these comments. The SEC and B1G are just pouting right now because they know they are about to lose the control they used to have over the sport
