I have Kentucky #4 in resume based rankings despite the loss to Alabama.

And I think that is defensible at this point.

They beat LSU who is #6 in F+ power rankings, and lost to Alabama who is #7.

And while we look down at teams like Oklahoma and Texas A&M, compared to the rest of college football, they aren't the worst wins. Oklahoma is #27 and A&M is #28 in the college rankings.

Going to be hard to find very many resumes that are better. If not for the Alabama loss, they'd have a claim on #1.

FEI also has them #4 in their strength of record stat.

I think he puts teams a lot higher because of their power/strength. I'm doing resume only, so the power rating of the team doesn't affect their ranking.

For example he has LSU #7, and that is horrible from a resume standpoint. But from a power rating standpoint, that's not bad at all. I have LSU #24 based purely on resume, but if I added in power rating, they would jump up pretty far. LSU is #6 in F+.

And he has Oregon #8, I have them #28. But Oregon is #12 in F+ power rankings.

I have BYU #1, and UCLA #2. Which I don't love, but that's also because of not taking power into account, only looking at who they beat(and no losses). BYU had no losses and a win over #3 in F+ Notre Dame, and UCLA has a win over Oregon and no losses.

In other words, teams like Kentucky are over-performing while teams like LSU and Oregon are under performing. Despite Kentucky beating LSU, the model would put LSU as an 11 point favorite @ Kentucky. But Kentucky won the actual match and that's what counts.
