How many games would Arkansas have won this year with Petrino?

I say 9, they had talent, coaching was turrible.

Seven they lost way to much in injuries and the signs were showing of a blow up on the way.

Yeah but they may not have had those injuries with Petrino coaching. If Wilson hadn't gotten hurt and Petrino had been the coach I think 9.

They would've still lost to Alabama, LSU, South Carolina and A&M. 8 regular season wins IMO

They would've beaten LSU today if Petrino had been coaching.

Shhhh... he trollin'.

Injury talk is fine.

The real story of the season no one talks about is the turn overs.

I think they'd have at least doubled what they won...

Assuming LSU wouldve played a 4 win arkansas team the same way we played a 9 win arkansas team i guess maybe

i mean we beat A&M on the road and sucked vs Auburn

so maybe the we play up and down to the level of competition theory is true

Or maybe LSU isn't that good, aTm had a bunch of turnovers giving the game away to LSU as well.

That was so kind of the offense to just GiVE those turnovers away

If only they were actually part of football

well we won 10 games playing in the SEC, beat 2 top 15 teams, 4 top 25 teams, lost to Bama in the final seconds

so maybe, but probably not

I think we would have been getting ready for Cotton Bowl at worst.

Wrong...I think Arkie was over rated to begin with...too much finesse and no substance. Maybe a few more Ws...but still an off year with a trip to the Weedeater Bowl by bus.

Hard to tell, teams play differently against good teams versus teams with bad records.

I think Arkansas with Petrino would've won:

ULM
Rutgers
Ole Miss
Miss St.
maybe SCar

so 8-4 or 9-3. I think a 7-2 Arky would've probably gotten a better game from SCar than they did, so that would be a toos-up. I think LSU would've been alot more excited to play if Arky was 9-2. I know I would've been more excited to watch the game, but meh. Our guys sleep-walked to a victory. Typical LSU road game.

Arky has a lot of rebuilding to do though the next couple years. Was definitely kinda sad they tail-spinned like they did, at least aTm picked up the slack.

if lsu were fully loaded all season they would be undefeated. See how that works? The fact is NO SEC team faced the number of injuries to key positions like oline, lbs, and replaced a Heisman trophy candidate due to dismissal besides lsu and would have won that many games. This is not about losing seniors or juniors from last years team because most if not all of those kids that lsu lost practiced with the team in the spring and fall or earned those spots from playing time last year.
LSU won the game so no need to flame Bamatard.
