At least you are sticking to your guns
I'm waiting to see how many people change their tune on him now that he's no longer at Auburn.

No we probably won't talk because I have nothing to prove to you. I do think we will go to a bowl next year. Nobody can say if this was a successful hire until 4 years down the road.

Can I have some of what you're smoking??

Charlie Weis wasn't forced on him? Muschamp was the reason we were able to get Weis due to his son becoming a GA.

For starters, ray tanner won't force Charlie weis on him.

A lot of USC fans throwing this myth out there to make themselves feel better about this hire. Only problem is that Foley did NOT force Muschamp to hire Weis. Weis was lined up to go to Texas with Muschamp/Brown until Muschamp got the job at UF. Muschamp chose Weis and was responsible for that hire.

You guys also realize Weis was Boom's best OC right? Pease was by far worst and he just got fired again by Washington from his job as a WR coach. Jury is still out on Roper.

I would be very worried about him getting an OC worth a damn. He also likes to constantly remind you that he stays out of offensive meetings, so it is really important to get a good one.

I couldn't fault him if he hired Roper. I'd be happy with that.

Just out of curiosity, is Boom an easy guy to work with? It would seem that having him as my superior would be a nightmare.

Interesting history lesson. Just excited to see someone with emphasis on recruiting for a change.

I think Roper was the best OC of the three he chose to hire. Roper's a damn good coach.

If he can get a homerun OC, I can easily see him winning there. Plus, expectations will be less compared to Florida.

An article in which Conor shaw, who has been working with him in Cleveland, said the same about roper. Anxious to see who the oc is.

I can understand that. No one can question his work ethic on the recruiting trail. The guy puts everything he has into his job.

Well, that's mostly true. However, he recruited some great talent on offense. He just never recruited wisely from a total offensive standpoint, always leaving gaping holes. On defense he recruited the full package.

We'll be running a read option offense and dominate the SEC East with Muschamp's stellar defense

In terms of "Elite game changing talent", South Carolina is below every state in the SEC besides maybe Mizzou and Arkansas.

That's not really accurate. Last year South Carolina was second in NFL players per capita to only Louisiana and were in the top 10 over all in total players LINK LINK
. I think South Carolina has dropped a little this year for NFL players in the league but they are still in the top 15 for total players.

The state produces elite talent it just recently they haven't been wearing garnet.
