Unless you're an SEC team, and in that case, as long as you win the SECCG, you're in good position for another shot at a national title

They'll prolly jump Oregon and ND but I'm not sure about K-state.

I think it would be the opposite if it was to happen. Jumping K state and behind Oregon & ND

i doubt kstate drops 2 spots without losing.

The NCG will be the winner of the SECCG(Bama,Georgia, or LSU) vs Notre Dame, KState or Oregon

Only if two of those teams lose.

It will be close...Anyone saying differently doesn't know how the BCS works.

The 1-loss SEC champ will have a decent chance at jumping Kansas State and Notre Dame given that they do not play a championship game.

The computers will obviously have the SEC champ higher, and the human voters will be split after watching the SEC champion on championship Saturday. Kansas State and Notre Dame are on the outside looking in at this point, despite being ahead of Oregon. Both need some help, including the SEC champ having more than 1 loss.

It will be close....Too close to call at this point. That said, I don't think it matter, because two of those three teams will not go undefeated. Hell, I don't think any of them will go undefeated.

If they go undefeated, no.
But if LSU wins out, they will most likely play Alabama in the sugar bowl for a rematch.

Basically Bama has the obvious best shot if they win out..if Bama loses, they should only drop to 5 or so..but they don't really play anyone of worth after this game so the most they would move up would be to 3 as long as UGA doesn't lose

If LSU wins vs bama and wins the championship game vs UGA, they'd have the best shot of the one loss SEC teams IMO

Notre Dame and K-State don't play a Championship Game so if LSU wins out I think they get a boost for the final rankings by winning the SEC Championship Game.

Will beating #1 Bama and winning the SECCG boost their computer rankings? LSU already has 1 loss.

A better question would be; Will LSU ever have another undefeated NC season?

No question. If LSU wins out, they would have wins over:

No. 1 Alabama
No. 6 Georgia
No. 8 South Carolina
No. 15 MissSt
No. 16 TexA&M
(and lone loss @ No.7 Florida)

The human voters will undoubtedly be split and there will be lots of talking heads making their case...Many for the SEC champ and many for the undefeateds. It will be close and there is no way at this point to know who would get the nod.

They should. IMO the SEC champ should always play for the NC.

It'll be interesting to see things play out. I don't think anyone should get too worked up yet, though, because the odds are that KState/NotreDame/Oregon all drop a game.

Not often do 2 teams end the season undefeated, much less 4 teams.

I realize KState and NotreDame's remaining schedules appear weak/mediocre, but they will likely both drop a game along the way. It happens every year with undefeateds at this point losing a game they're not supposed to, and this year will be no different.

No. One loss SEC won't get in over no loss K State Oregon or ND.

We will get nod over any if there are equal amout of losses. But not if we have more

I'll permaban bet you that if the winner of the SECCG has one loss, and Oregon, KSU, and ND are all unbeaten, that the SEC won't be in the BCSCG.

No. I think a lot of voters will rationalize: OK, SEC, we gave you an all SEC final last year so this year guess what? LSU, your offense sucks. You get to sit this one out.
