I get we don't want pro's competing, but boycotting and kicking them out of the league is silly of grown ups.

Its plain old fear. They saw how fast the program took fire after kiffin was hired. Players want to play for him and then the money rolled in for nil. Georgia for one surprises me. I thought they were tougher than this.

Yes, they would. I don't believe in NIL, and I don't like what college football has become. But the entire P4 is basically taking a stance on this. LSU will not have any public sympathy if they continue down this path.

I dunno, but they sure as shite didn't give much of a frick when Alabama or Ole Miss did it.

TT situation was different in that they were going to play someone who gambled against his own teams. That's illegal at all levels. Not remotely a similar situation.

Agree, this will either become a thing or the leagues will figure out a way to stop it. LSU isn't gaining a huge advantage with the pro's.

There are 4 potential players that LSU would add. 1 is eligible no matter what and I think he's already on the roster. 2 are injured and might not be a factor until late in the season.

Why are they not blocking Texas then? So is mini-camps a distinction from 1 practice at training camp? They both got compensated for doing so. Chambliss right over the top of NCAA/SEC to get a 6th year of eligibility on a questionable claim despite being ruled against.
What kind of mental gymnastics is going on to make a distinction between mini-camps is not a pro but someone who attended 1 practice is? What about the Ole Miss DT? Is he ruled okay to play under the current rules? He never even sniffed a practice. They all signed deals, including the Texas lineman even for mini-camps. So Texas gets to bend the rules but LSU can't?
