Going undefeated and beating the only team that beat them is pretty good. Not number 1. But definitely #2.

Last year LSU fielded their weakest roster in twenty years and won the West. Tigers are going to be considerably better talent-wise. We'll see how that translates to W/L. There are tough games on the schedule, FL ST among them.
