A child can see that Fields has more upside than Fromm...Fromm’s claim to fame was his NFL backfield last year

The botched fake FG did them in 5 minutes into the game.

Nah what killed them was Fromm getting sacked out of FG range also not letting Holyfield do his thing. Game could have been 19-12 or 19-16 pretty easily had we not gave up on the run so quickly

Hmmm. Richt had a defense when he was here? Is that the same defense that gave up 40 to auburn last year?

I was surprised at the fake field goal so early in the game.

Made me think Georgia saw something on LSU game film that they did match up well against.

In Kirby's postgame, he specifically said they had film showing that play (fake fg) had a 99% chance of working. He goes into a little more detail. One of the tacklers normally goes one way, according to Kirby, every single FG this year that player goes one way, but yesterday, he went the other way, and ended up cutting off the run.

LINK

Start at the 1:50 mark where he talks about that play.

They ran well that one series, then LSU adjusted and pretty much shut it down the rest of the game. Orgeron said they changed base defenses as soon as that drive happened. Uga wouldn't have beaten LSU strictly running the ball bc they ran it well on one series. LSU adjusted and shut it down. I dont know why people say this.

That might mean something if UGA hadn't quit running.

There especially was no reason to not try the Fields/Holyfield zone read immediately at the 38 yard line after Holyfield got a TD off it and a quick three and out followed.

Instead that drive started out with a jet sweep that got no gain, then doing it with HERRIEN for reasons unknown, then Fromm takes a sack to take the team out of borderline field goal range.

Chaney acts like he has too many toys to play with. There's more going on than the QB situation. People were saying Holyfield looked furious when he was on the sidelines yesterday. Herrien might be an absolute practice warrior, but hasn't really shown much in games in doubt outside the first half of his freshman season.

It sure looks like that Georgia has "no plan" on offense in general, not just with the QB position.

They better find a plan.

Could have also easily been 48-16 if LSU can convert some of those FGs into TDs.

People keep saying they abandoned the run, but the run stoped working

Forget that, they could have stuck with their RBs. They abandoned what was working

Holyfield had 7 carries with 8.0 ypc.

Swift had 12 carries with 6.0 ypc.

They abandoned the run. Meanwhile Fromm threw the ball 34 times. Imo that's 30 more than he needed to.

Whoa, A NC playing team beat MSST...

This aint MSST and youre gonna find that to be a painful fact.
LSU beat you by more points than we allowed them to score. Food for thought

Why Holyfield isn’t getting most of the snaps is beyond me is a slashing nightmare. He has brutal strength and just carried LSU defenders when he should of been down. With him and fields they will move the ball. From obviously can’t throw deep.or just isn’t accurate doing It.

To people saying fromm isn’t looking like himself from last year, this is fromm. Last year he had two of the bests backs UGA has ever had. Now that he’s playing more of an important role vs supporting role, he is tanking. Sure he can take advantage of teams with no defense because they can’t stop the run, but as soon as a team does or he’s asked to shoulder more of the game he crumbles. I’m fairly confident fields could’ve thrown incompletions just as well as Fromm could, so not letting fields take over was an odd decision.

That’s silly. Fromm played terribly and Kirby made a massively stupid decision early.

Is this where Fromm gets benched and transfers mid season?

UGA looked like they didnt belong on the same field as LSU. I mean, LSU beat UGA by 3 touchdowns. THREE.
