ah...so you admit to not agreeing with someone and taking a completely irrelevant argument to try and make your point.

Its not an irrelevant argument at all. Leach could inflate his win totals in the big 12. he couldnt in the sec.

....all the while completely ignoring my point(which I've made plain as day) of him being able to recruit better all-around athletes in this area.

I wouldnt say thats a given at all. Christ, he was in texas and had the second highest profie team in that state for most of his time there (by virtue of a&m's lapses).

quote:

...and like I've already said to refute your "point"....why did LSU go after Les Miles after he took his best team he ever fielded at OSU and beat Cutcliff?

Bigger difference going from ok st to LSU than it is from tech to ole miss.

Mike Leach would be a great hire, IMO. Only big problem I can see would be that he might get a bit carried away with all the Civil War history and start talking about Gen. Grant outflanking and sneaking up on the confederates at Vicksburg, or Pickett's blunder at Gettysburg, or something of that nature, and some people might take it the wrong way and get all bent out of shape over it. He might have to be coached somewhat over that stuff but he would eat it up. He loves history.

...and Nutt hasn't made his final stand quite yet.

His press conferences were classic, but everything he said was the God awful truth. He just lacked delivery talent. I still love "the peanut butter sandwich and fat girlfriend" analogy

ok...Bama lost to UF in 2008 and beat OM both years. I fail to see how that backs up your point.

Doesnt matter. You said the difference was two teams that were significantly better in 2008 than they were in 2010. but there were also teams that were significantly worse in 2010 than they were in 2008.

quote:

as a matter of fact......it doesn't.

Yes, it does. Think rel hard.

Had Bama beaten UF in 2008 or lost to Ole Miss last year...then it would back your point up. As it is....It just adds to all the other irrelevant facts that you've brought up so far.

No, it doesnt. See, we played a very comparable schedule. thats the point.

It has been proven otherwise. Even Adam James admits it.

Nutt is safe until 2012. And 2012 should be a good year for Ole Miss. So I don't see Nutt leaving anytime soon.

But I would not want Mike Leach as head coach. Something about him I just don't like. Plus Nutt wiped the floor with Leach in the Cotton Bowl.

I liked the book. He needed to be able to expose the truth about Craig and Adam James, Spaeth Communications, and the screwing done to him by some of those cheap bastards at TTech.

Even if he only wins 3 or 4 games

PETE was pretty quick to get rid of Cutcliffe

It depends. Was Meyer very mediocre in his other years at florida?

If Nutt wins 3 he might be gone, but 4 & up and I think he is safe.
