If Freeze is so great why is he at Liberty? But if he should land at another P5 job then he best invest in a private cell phone.

They already are 2nd tier coaches. Brain Kelly will be a 2nd tier coach also now he is in the SEC.

Freeze is not that good of a coach. Way overrated. A good coach, an upgrade from Harsin, but he would not do anything too special at Auburn or anywhere else for that matter.

Not Freeze as far as X's and O's go. I wanted him to be LSUs coach bad a couple months ago. There is a reason why Saban asked the SEC for approval hire Freeze a couple years ago.

Freeze and Kiffin still have nothing on their resume to say they are better coaches than Kelly or Jimbo. High risk high reward based on potential and nothing else

A lot of people here seem to have a higher opinion of Freeze than I do. I don't think he's a slouch but I wouldn't consider him anything close to elite.

Jimbo beat Sabin on the field, recruiting this year and told him to keep quiet, which he has. We will take our chances.

Freeze is being paid $4 million a year at Liberty... LIBERTY!!! How stupid would he be to leave that for $5-6 million at the Cesspool on the Plains? After all these buyouts, could Auburn even offer that? We know how this is going to go. They'll grab Kevin Steele from Miami, double whatever his DC salary is and begin a Tennessee-like lost decade.

I honestly doubt that they would fire a head coach bc of the “distractions” they’re talking abt with Harsin, just to turn around and hire frickin Hugh Freeze….
No way that an athletic department would want to have to babysit 2 head coaches. Freeze and Pearl under one roof? Would be risky. If I was an AU fan I would frickin loveee it. And embrace the shite out of it; while everybody else is trying to become the most woke and be the school that doesn’t offend anyone; you have AU droppin their nuts and goin the exact opposite route.
I’d be all in (if I was AU fan)
