Lol you think Gainesville is more Hillbilly? First off Florida does not have many hills, and Gainesville is not hillbilly at all...Very few college towns are. Very liberal most college towns are, so very far from it....though liberals who consider themselves "men" crack me up after college...getting a job and having to pay taxes quickly turns you away from liberal ideas. Now Spring Hill or Starke, Florida are insane hicks.

Ole Miss is a better program than Florida in every metric aside from number of fans.
We have a better NIL collective, better AD, better University leadership, better practice facilities, better organization, better media presence (currently), better college town, better reputation in coaching circles, and even a better handle on boosters. Oh, and we can pay top 10 money to coaches as well. We have one of the largest assistant pay pools in the nation and the highest paid assistant coach in the SEC at DC. We have the highest paid OC (#1 in the SEC and the #5 in the nation).
We are more organized and everyone involved is pulling the rope in the same direction.
It starts at the top. This man is the GOAT.
For my entire life, we had penny pinching ADs that tried to save a dime and "get by" rather than really see what we could do when the gloves came off. Keith has been the only true AD in my life that has said, "let's see how far we can go." He gives all of our coaches whatever they need to succeed. Under his leadership football has thrived, basketball has been reborn, baseball won a National Championship, Golf won a National Championship, Cheerleading has won multiple National Championships, Softball has a brand new stadium and our NIL is one of the best collectives in the nation all while creating the standard template used by most schools for NIL contracts.
Your days of seeing us in the rearview mirror are over.

We also won a national championship that year in football and basketball. Something you haven't done in my lifetime or my parents lifetime.

Lol. You are insane, Ole Miss has won how many SEC titles in CFB since 1980? You are not even close and it is beyond laughable that you think that. We have more SEC titles, more National titles, more heisman winners, more first round draft picks, more draft picks, bigger stadium...very, very, very easy to see UF has a much better program..even at our worse we beat you.

Florida had a brief stretch of greatness from the 90s to the early 2000s. Outside of that, your program has been terrible.
Your last football national championship was nearly 20 years ago, so a lot of people can now also claim that they haven't seen Florida win a football natty in their lifetimes.

One school is the flagship university in the third largest state. One is a school in a state that is ranked in the bottom 5 in most meaningful metrics. UF has significantly more money than Ole Miss. Just look at the endowments.
UF has achieved more with flawed coaches like Muschamp (matches Lane's best season with 11 wins), Mac (went to two more SEC championships than Ole Miss has ever been too), and Mullen (3 straight NY6 bowls and a SEC championship appearance).
When UF gets the right head coach, we win SEC and National Championships. When Ole Miss gets its best head coach right, its still hoping to finish the season in the top 10. There is just no comparison.

From 1960-1990, when our program was terrible...
Ole Miss was 191-142-10.
UF was 213-124-10.

If I’m not mistaken, Florida would have to buy out Napier 20 mill and pay ole miss 40 mill to buy out Kiffin. Not that Florida can’t do it but that’s a lot of money hoping Lane has the success he’s had at ole Miss.

There's a ton of roundabouts all over Florida because of the FDOT and their preference, has nothing to do with college professors.

You have a loss to Ole Miss enshrined in your stadium.

Posted on 9/30/25 at 10:12 am to Landmass
that was the last time Ole Miss won in the swamp... almost 20 years ago.

When we lost to them, we turned it around and won the national championship. When they lost to us last year, they turned around and won the Gator Bowl.

And you also lost to Houston Nutt that year….so…once again….your logic is bad

Congrats on that. Must be nice.
UF needs to get serious again about football.
However, Ole Miss doesn't compare to UF overall.
