Based on what? Recruiting rankings?

Are you just slow today? Based on recruiting gurus who knows who is visiting each week and what these kids had for breakfast. Coach Saban was much more a camp guy and wanted to see them work before getting serious and he didn't have this many kids on campus each week.

I don't speak "Alabama fan".

Are you saying elite prospects are visiting Alabama more now than they were under Saban?

He has set the new standard, they just don’t know it yet. He’s not going anywhere. Bama doesn’t have the money.

How is LSU "rewarding mediocrity"?

It's wild to see fans of two programs who employ coaches that Brian Kelly outperforms then insist that he's mediocre.

Brian met Tennessee's coach heads up one time.

Kelly had a Heisman QB. Heupel had a recycle from Va. Tech.

Josh arse-raped Kelly on the 50 yard line as the halftime entertainment. LSU fans ran for the door like there was a sale on crawfish and cheap liquor in the parking lot.

Josh has won a major bowl game in his short career. Kelly has coached for decades and won nothing.

15 year at the premier blueblood and never even won a major bowl game.

Y'all keep Kelly. Give him a raise and an extension.

Was he offered a contract extension or not?

He was offered less control of the team, so obviously not in the same capacity. But the context here is quite different.

Alabama was #2 in the country going into the Auburn game, and it was the first time the game was played @ Auburn. It was an extremely big deal to people, and the fact he had lost the previous 2 meetings and was the favorite meant people wanted revenge and to make a statement.

Then he goes on to lose the Sugar Bowl to Miami, and Miami becomes National Champions.

That's how close his 89 team was. As usual you like to cite stats without context, and while his win% was near BK, his teams improved every year. And in his final year, he was that close to a National Championship. Still, because of losing the big games that mattered, people were upset. And you don't see people celebrating him either really.

In his 3rd year, he almost won the NC and finished in the top10. LSU didn't even finish ranked in BK 3rd year.

I didn't want him to go, and like many things of the time I wouldn't know why he left exactly until many years later. But I can tell you all anyone gave a frick about was the Auburn thing.

Jayden Daniels was a Heisman quarterback in 2023. Not 2022.

Must suck to see a guy like that outperforming your coach.

So, did he buy that Heisman talent in the off-season? I guess Hooker should have won it in 2022.

By what measure has he outperformed Josh? Rubbing the butts of teenag boys? Heupel owned his arse. Heupel has won major bowl games. Kelly pounds his fist on the table.

Kelly is an overpaid joke.

He did uphold the standard of beating LSU. Give him a fair shot before judgement

If he makes it through less than 10 games, then, yes, he would be fired.

No, he won the Heisman in 2023.

Caleb Williams won it in 2022.

You faced Jayden Daniels in 2022, he wasn't a Heisman quarterback that year.

He's won more of his games than Fat Josh has of his.

Josh Heupel arse-raped Brian Kelly in Dead Valley when Kelly had a team full of NFL talent.

Makes you wonder why Fat Josh doesn't have a better win percentage than BK.

Last year we beat Ole Miss and USCe, who everyone was hyping up. We also scheduled 2 B1G teams for OOC instead of going with 4 cupcakes, and handled our bowl game unlike most of yall who humiliated the conference. Bama brought their starting team in and got destroyed by a bunch of 2nd stringers of a middle pack B1G team.

Sure, we got outbid for Underwood, just like Bama got outbid for Haywood, reality check is outside of the Texas schools that is going to be a thing for all of us moving forward with NIL, SEC schools do not have as much money as B1G schools or schools like SMU / Texas Tech.

As for CBK, he inherited a depleted roster and still manages to win 9-10 games each year in the SEC. DeBoer inherited the #1 talent composite roster and shite the bed, repeatedly, against weak programs. Im not convinced CBK is any different than James Franklin, which wouldn't be good enough for LSU, but he would be good enough for 90% of the SEC

Depends. If he wins 8, he’s out. If it’s 9 again, he gets another year.

They can't afford to pay him $60+ million, even if he were to win only 8 games.

Faulkner would be jealous of this literary genius.
