Nope.
SMU will be out. They have only played one ranked team and they lost

They just said it’s pretty much set and won’t change because teams who don’t play don’t have a data point. So those not playing are set the only thing may change is if conf camp goes other than predicted.

The winner of AZ St and Iowa St is guaranteed a spot. There is a slight chance Bama gets left out. Very unlikely.

Yep, it’s real clear.

SMU wins, Bama is in.

Clemson wins, Bama is probably, but not definitely in. Ranking SMU at 8 signals they are out with a loss.

Otherwise they have to vault Clemson from 17 past SMU. I don’t see them moving Clemson 7-8 slots since having them ranked behind SMU makes no sense.

Well, that's the point. SMU is the predicted conference champ right now. If they lose, does their "data point" change drop them below Bama's frozen "data point"?

In the SEC, Texas is the predicated conference champ. If they bitch slap UGA by 40 points, do you think three loss UGA remains above 3 loss Bama? And stays in above 2 loss SMU who, for arguments sake, lost in OT to Clemson?

The entire point is how the CFP treats conference game losers. We are about to find out.

If Clemson were to win, no offense to you guys, but that’s really screwing SC as they just beat them. But again committee said bubble teams are out because they don’t have a game/data point beyond this week.

Bama’s win over UGA and SC trumps SC beating Clemson bub

Biden said he wouldn’t pardon his son either.

They might do exactly what they said. If Clemson runs SMU out of the stadium it might at least get a discussion too.

Those odds are pretty likely to improve in the next hour.

sure, so why isn't Alabama above them now if what you said is important?

Right now they have 1 loss.

If they lose again its 2 losses. This ain't "rocket surgery."

If they wanted to guarantee 2 ACC teams, all they had to do was leave Miami over Bama. They didn't.

Now, they have said before that they won't punish teams for losing a championship game which could let them let SMU stay ahead of Bama.....with a close loss to Clemson.

But, they won't.....Bama is in. They've set it up that way now.

They literally left out an undefeated p5 champ to put bama in last year
that lost their all world QB. Smart decision by them.

We have seen how FSU has done since.

I think it’s more of a conversation if Clemson wins and Georgia loses.

Don’t be stupid. SC beating a conf champ the week prior is more of a statement than your week 5 or whenever it was win over SC.

Congrats on making it , not mad but I’m not wrong.

Nope. If SMU loses they are in the same boat as Miami. They will have played 2 ranked opponents and lost to both of them

Going off the premise that the conf champs are the “best teams”

Well that’s about as flawed a premise as there is considering the results, no?

Alabama is 1000% in regardless of what happens this weekend. They get the benefit of the doubt same as every year.

I think this is only scenario that keeps bama out, uga win and close clemson win.
