As crazy as your post may sound, there's a lot of truth to it. Vandy has absolutely nailed the transfer portal and have brought in a ton of 5th and 6th year guys with a ton of experience and placed them in a system that they flourish in. Kudos to Coach Lea and staff for doing what they've done with Vandy.
They actually have us beat in the trenches on both sides of the ball, the only place we have an advantage over them is in the passing game and the secondary. After that, Vandy has the advantage in every area. But, how much of their success has been due to who they've played? We'll find out Saturday. I don't see a team they've played so far that comes close to UGA or FSU. We'll find out tomorrow though.

Ga State is trash

And its not like south carolina is particularly good this year even with Sellers. The only reason anyone thinks that is a good win is preseaon ranking
Here are the scoring defenses that Vandy has faced this year (almost half a season), only doing division 1
Virginia Tech 100th
South Carolina 37th
Ga State 136th the worst defense in the country
Utah State 115th
Only 1 defense in the top 50, and that teams offense turned the ball over 4 times and lost their starting qb. Vandy scored 31 in that game and Pavia had a pretty pedestrian stat line of 18/25 177 7.1 ypa 2 TD 1 int 11 carries 22 yards 0 tds
Bamas defense is not what it has been in the past but its at least as good as SCs has been. If Bama can hold Pavia to a stat line like that then Bama is going to blow their doors off

Just being realistic. I think Vegas has it wrong. I'm going to put an emotional bet for Vandy just so I can have money to make me feel better if Bama loses (it won't be more than $100) but if I'm betting guy I'm putting it all on Vandy and taking the win - spread or win.
