No. 2 consecutive years of being out of the playoff discussion at the end of the season then maybe you could say that.

The Saban dynasty will live on in the SEC for eternity until the teams in your league embrace the QB position.

Right on bro. Kirby won what was it six games his fist season in Athens. EdO is looking at double digit wins in first season in BR. vols wish their new coach is as good as EdO.

Well, per the rule book, Bama would still make it to the NC game over Clemson, continuing this so-called "dynasty".

This argument is stupid because Clemson beat Bama last year so the dynasty would have already ended

The dynasty is over once some other SEC team wins the NCG and Bama fails to rebound to win it the following year. This season can't end it but next year's might.

Saban looked different this year. The emotions weren't there like usual, just seemed to be a little disconnected.

I noticed it too...it is obvious that little napoleon is on benzos and heavily sedated on football Saturdays. perhaps by doctors orders, so I'm not insinuating anything other than appearances.

If Alabama can get healthy on defense and the oline can prevent Hurts from scrambling for his life they have a legitmate shot at beating Clemson. If there oline doesn't hold up its going to be a long night for hurts and the Alabama offense.

I suppose UA will be ok even when Saban retires, but Phil Fulmer just undermined the hiring of UT's best hope (Leach) in favor of a guy that's been a career assistant even in high school. What the hell was up with that?

It'll be over when Saban retires or bama goes 3 in a row without winning the west. Making the playoff consistently isn't the end of anything.

To be honest, I don't expect Alabama will win it with Jalen Hurts at qb. I think next year, though, Tagovailoa will be the starter and we'll have a chance to outscore some opponents, which may be necessary because the defense will absolutely need some help.

Eh. It's really, really hard to win a national title. 4 in 7 years was incredible. If the pace has dropped a little bit, no big deal. It had to slow down a little bit. So we still are #1 for long portions of every season (basically) and competing for the title every year. What more can a reasonable person ask for?
