I dont know if this has been posted in this thread yet or not but Jefferson wanted to run the handoff to Scott. He is a veteran player and Jefferson had faith he could pound it down into closer field goal range with less chance of a turnover. Look at Miles' overall record at LSU for proof of how bad he is.
