4th and 25 was a matter of pure defensive incompetence. It would not have happened between good teams.

Ole Miss was the best team in the SEC in 2015.

Arkansas has actually won their division once, within 10 years of being admitted.

Wait, then they won it again.

Then they did it one more time.

How many teams in the sec can actually claim that?

7. Do we have to move to a big 7?

How many teams actually have made it to the game?

10. The other three to round it out are:
Mizz
MSU
USC

Something to actually brag about.

Is there any crowd reaction shot that captures how quickly joy can turn into dread better then that one?

Oh sure, we can all relate to the growing horror on the face of the girl... but its the gent next to her who has the utterly resigned look on his face that seals the deal. You can hear the words in his head as that play unfolds. "Lord, all I wanted was to win this game. You aren't going to let me have it are you? I'm an Ole Miss fan and you're going to put the weenie to me."

As to the play itself and its historical context... it means more to Alabama then it does Arkansas at this point. It gives us a special day to troll our (mostly) friendly rivals Ole Miss on 4/25 but other then that it is just a short break from the misery we suffered with Bert. I'd put the Joe Adams punt return vs the Vols, or the famous "Jones to Birmingham to Atlanta!" play above it.

For Bama it was a gift from on high. Instead of having to hope they could backdoor their way into the CFP this let them earn their way in and collect another national title too boot.

At the end of the day, that play occoured in a a later season game between a 7-2 team (ranked #18) and a 4-4 team (unranked).

If both teams were Top 10 or Top 15 it might deserve some consideration, but in the larger picture it was just a pretty unbelievable play that prevented Ole Miss from going to Atlanta, kinda like Eli being tackled by his own O-lineman to end the 2003 LSU game.

To Ole Miss fans, it should be a big deal. To Arkansas fans, it is the last significant thing Arkansas has done. But outside of those fanbases it shouldn't carry a lot of weight.

I mean, Arkansas effectively won Bama an SEC and national title with that play.
