I wish the SEC would require every team to get their cupcakes in by week 4. After that,

it's Power 5 only.

I don't single anyone out here. My team scheduled a shite team in November last year, but it's terrible to have a week like this one so late in the season. The only game we have on the schedule that looks like it might be a game of some interest is Ole Miss and Arkansas. And just like UK/UGA, that one has lost a lot of luster since the start of the season.

It's week 12 and the schedule is complete trash. That should not happen.

You say this but part of the reason the SEC has to stagger their open dates so late in the season is due to your school playing out of conference the last week of the season.

And South Carolina, and Kentucky, and Florida.

Basically it's the East's fault

I don't think Georgia people would be opposed to moving that game and replacing it with someone else. Tennessee maybe? Tech shouldn't be opposed since they always end their season being bitch slapped into next year.

You and Auburn could agree to play ten P5 schools and each schedule a game with one b4 the Iron Bowl.

No one gets a pass for scheduling an extra P5 bc they chose too, you gave up one of your open 4 slots to a permanent opponent by choice

Us former Big 12 schools where told that’s a no go, hence tu and ou won’t schedule Tech or Oklahoma State annual, respectively. No special treatment, stop demanding it!

I understand. You need those games to be bowl eligible and sometimes that doesn't even help. My apologies.

More recent success than A&M.
But then again, that is a low bar.

I know what you mean I wish we played Vandy like game 1 of the season. The SEC is big enough to just play all SEC if they wanted to. But as long as the Big schedule’s cup cakes so will we.

I was saying this since TAMU and Mizzou came in the conference. I never wanted them to join. I would have been more than down to have the West teams play some Big 12 teams annually like the East teams have their ACC rivalries. Florida can play FSU this year as their annual game but still play Utah OOC. I don't see why the West teams couldn't have some rotating agreement to play an OOC game with the Big 12 teams like Texas/TAMU/OU/Mizzou. Maybe have some kind of rotating agreement. And then the West teams could still schedule another P5 team OOC and have 2 rent a wins still left. But they didn't need to actually join the conference.

But I guess we're here now. A lot of great annual games are going to be replaced with some forced Big 12 rivalries to make them fit in and some of the best annual SEC games that have been marquee matchups every year will happen half as frequently going forward. I hope it's worth it in the end.

It's tradition to beat the GnaTs on/the week of Thanksgiving. Just like it is with the Swamp Rats at Halloween.

I'll be honest if Prime is to take a P5 job, GT would be a great place to land for both parties involved. They'd be patient and wouldn't have such high expectations so he'd be able to get his battle scars in a P5 conference without fear of being fired after every loss. He'd up their recruiting by a lot and if he got something together I think he could make noise in the ACC. And if he had enough success could leverage that into a better job, and if it didn't work out he could always go back in the lower ranks and load up on P5 transfers and win on talent alone like he does now.

OK, drop GA Tech then, crybaby.

For UT, we'd love to have all our cupcakes front loaded.

Ranked every year even before any tough games, which benefits exposure and recruiting. So that even on bad years we keep momentum. There are SEC team for whom this is their secret to long term success.

So yeah, I'm with the crybaby on this one.

Would UGA be ok with moving the tech game to early in the season then?
