Both were outliers. Exclude the best and worst and Orgeron is a 8&4 or 9&3 type coach. That's about right.

The outlier was Burrow and his season. Everything came together in that moment. Orgeron was probably the right guy at the time for everyhing to come together in that one season.

No problem in my book. I would like to experience one season like that myself. Last year and this year (it it stay bad) is a small price to pay.

There are 8 Orgeron threads on the first two pages alone started by non-LSU fans. Yeah, no one cares.

They don’t. Posters are just piling on. You know this.

It’s kind of funny but really sad to see where LSU is as a program. I have enjoyed watching them struggle but the SEC and college football is just better when LSU is strong. It’s pretty unbelievable how much of a cluster frick it’s become.

He couldn't win at Ole Miss. That should have told you all you needed to know.

Yeah, still mostly funny, though. The absolute nose dive off a cliff instead of any kind of steady decline just makes it that much worse.

any student body that has a majority who thinks chanting STTDB on national TV is cool, will probably glory in a coach like 0

We have some incredibly immature fans who think it’s perfectly fine to chant this crap, even in front of children. If you speak against it on the Rant, you will get more downvotes than upvotes. It's sad, really.

I was so delusional even when most people in this forum kept saying 2019 was the outlier but I kept saying 2020 was the outlier. 2019 was equivalent to a lighting strike. All the stars just aligned perfectly. Hes a failure as a coach everywhere he has been and the off the field issues are an embarrassment to this state. He hires coaches without even interviewing them. He hires a convicted felon on his staff as his propaganda machine, Has pictures of him all over internet with trashy sluts and doesn't care that is gets posted. LSU settled for this guy because all the top targets turned down the job. I hope he gets axed during the season

can you admit that lsu fans know the least about football of any fanbase, are constantly wrong, and should subordinate their opinions to those of their betters?

Ponamsky.. PR man.. supposedly counterfeited credentials for River pilot certification or some such. Pled guilty to FBI federal felony charges… or something like that.

He ran Os propaganda operation to first get hired, then get interim, then organized the “binders” that laid out Os plan to get the HC position which conned the fool AD ( binders…2016…really? Not power point or something?)

Today he runs a platoon of internet bots on various chat boards defending and pumping up all things O. Plus he makes reportedly 150+ k as an LSU PR mouthpiece for O… and in that capacity even vets applicants for asst coach position though he knows nothing about football.

All the above is from various reports and may have some details wrong… but directionally it is correct.

The man obviously needs help and I hope the leftist leadership at LSU realizes that and give him an extension and the support he needs. They need to keep him around until he is ready to leave on his own terms.

Lol you people are pathetic. Saturday night and Sunday it was “where are all the LSU fans?” Now it’s “why do the LSU fans think we care.”

Go back to playing with yourself lil boy.

Life will go on, my friend. One BR radio host said it best: the more time that passes since 2019, the clearer it becomes that 2019 was indeed an outlier for Orgeron.

No shame in realizing and course correcting, only in proceeding to think he's a football savant.

Ed will be terminated and LSU football will be back.
