This was week zero. Mullen is still molding him into the QB he can become.
He was always a developmental guy, and the year under Macelwain and Nussmeier probably set him back at least one year on his trajectory.
Zero chance Florida wins tonight without that clutch pass he hit down the seem. Big time player making big time plays when the chips were down.

Take out one screen where the receiver broke about 5 tackles for a TD and his stats plummet to about 190 yards, 1 TD and 2 INT. Both INT’s were horrendous, esp the second, and came in the 4th quarter. D- at best.

This is exactly what I'm saying.
The second INT is bad because all you have to do is say to yourself: "We're winning, we're on our side of the field, taking a sack keeps the clock moving."
That's it.
The other QB didn't throw INTs and while he took 10 sacks, at least he understood that he can't just blindly chuck it into coverage.
People blaming Mullen -- we weren't running well all game, take a small chance on a quick pass. No one thinks their doofus Quarterback is going to throw it in a four on one situation.

Pros: Good at picking up some tough yards with his legs, throws a pretty deep ball, can break sacks, has great size
Cons: Questionable decision making, accuracy issues on short and intermediate throws, bails out of the pocket prematurely, lack of leadership, just acts like a total douchebag
Don’t really think the good outweighs the bad. I also don’t know how the hell you let your starting QB strut around taking shite to fans with the game still in doubt.

My opinion on Franks is that he is the best we have. Bitching about him all season isn't going to do you any more good than it did last season. He will have some good games and he will have some bad games. Our biggest issue tonight was Miami's DL getting a good push against our OL. We couldn't run the ball at all.
