Here’s and objective opinion for you

Franks is the equivalent of taking a dick, sticking it up your arse and breaking it off

17-27 254 2TDs/2INT isnt "horrible" against that defense. No, it wasnt great, but it is almost astonishing that he was able to produce 254 yards with those play calls, behind that shitty O-Line, and against that defense. It isnt the end of the world. Yeah, maybe a little cause for concern. I'd give him a C-. The INTs were pretty damn ugly.

Not good, but his coaches screwed him with play calls as well.

I get a QB who struggles. It's the toughest position to play and bad plays are going to happen.

What I don't understand is how a QB like Franks, who has struggled a lot, is allowed by the coaching staff to strut up and down the sidelines in front of the stands, with the game only half played and still in doubt, talking garbage to opposing fans and strutting arrogantly in front of his own.

That's a bad look no matter who you are. And Baker Mayfield he ain't. Mullens needs to get a grip on that, imo, or bad things are going to happen for the gators this year.

Which I am fine with, fwiw.

He is already very good and will continue to improve.

Ideal Frame - check
Rocket arm - check
Swagger - check
Overcomes adversity - check
Best QB coach in football - check, check, check

He will be elite by seasons end with a great chance of being a heisman finalist.

He also had a fumble in the Red Zone.

Also, the stats really don't tell much of a story.

His nicest pass was only because the defender was held. Your OL is in trouble and will be penalized wayyy more. Florida got pretty lucky not getting holding calls tonight.

Where do you see Gator fans making excuses?

Everyone’s killing him and Mullen for that performance.

And they deserve it. It was a fricking debacle.

I agree it was terribly sloppy. I did forget that he was the one who fumbled. Damn sure not a performance to brag about, yeah.

This is the kind of sarcasm that only pure football hatred can produce.

Thats why I give him a little grace. First game jitters , and the yips being behind that line are almost to be expected. It's game 1. The won. Can't bury the kid on that.

Seeing both those team's O-Line getting beat over and over made me remember how shitty ours was last year. Sigh.

Mullen and Franks were the reason this game was close.

Just bad play calls and Franks just isnt good enough. Think we've been more than patient.

Emory Jones time for me. Franks is simply never going to be great...so no reason to not start Jones who is the future and let him go

Throws a pretty deep ball and is a hard runner. Not good at dealing with pressure and his decision making skills are lacking. Will cost Florida more games than he will win for them.

I recall three deep balls:
1. Ended up 5 yards out of bounds
2. Overthrew the WR by 5 yards
3. On the money

He is terrible man. Honestly nothing good to say about him because he isn’t even a kid with a good attitude that you can get behind.

On field: Sub par arm strength, sub par decision making, slow decision making, turns the ball over far too much

Off field: poor character, poor attitude, poor values, poor leadership. Kid plays like garbage all night and should be pissed at himself yet comes over and talks trash to Miami fans, throws Int minutes later, kicks ball into stands, runs mouth into camera like he is 30-34 with 500 yds.

If your leader is happy with themself after that shite performance, how in the hell is your team going to improve?
