It doesn't matter tbh, the FSU people are already turbo-coping on the guise of "FSU will have many players sit out for the draft, so even if we do lose we were not a complete team" yatta yatta ya
They are covering their butts for the prolapsing that will eventually occur.

Michigan may be tough but so is Bama. And Bama has more speed. That'll be the difference. Bama just has a better caliber of athletes.
Is Bama that much faster than Michigan? I’m not sure it’s enough of a gap to really matter given each team’s style of play.

I truly think he tries to run up the score on them to make a statement.
Saban knows Bama can’t afford to approach the game this way. Michigan has just as much an “us vs the world” mentality.

This, and I wonder what his approach on offense will be. I doubt Michigan is going to let Milroe go crazy. This is a tough game. It’s going to be old school smash mouth football.
Yes, sir, it is! The 2023 Michigan defense
- #1 scoring defense (9.4 PPG)
- #2 total defense (239.2 YPG)
- #2 passing defense (152.6 YPG)
- #5 rushing defense (86.8 YPG)
- #4 rush yards per carry (2.91 YPC)
- #1 defensive TDs (5)
- #5 interceptions (16)
- #7 total turnovers (24)
Milhoe is really going to struggle throwing the ball against our secondary...but he needs to be careful running too much, too. He's gonna get hit, it's just a matter of how many times & what his threshold of pain is.
Yes, bama has a great offensive line, but Michigan has an outstanding front 7...and plenty of depth to rotate bodies, which we did not have the last time we played the elephants. Grab some popcorn, throw a log on the fire, and get ready for a college football treat for the ages.

Now list the rankings of the offenses you faced and the win/loss totals for them combined.

They really don’t, though. They struggled a lot, and have given up a lot of sacks. They might have ended the regular season on a strong note, but they struggled against the pass rush.

Obviously you do not know what targeting is. You shouldn't speak of things you don't understand.
I wonder if Sark, since he studied so closely under Saban, also picked up Saban’s sociopathic inability to care about purposely targeting players. If so, I wonder what you’ll be saying when Milroe’s leg gets snapped in half against Texas.

Given the physicality of the UM offense, I imagine he'll want to keep them off the field as long as possible to minimize how banged up his front 7 get before round 2.
I'll try and fix this for you. "Given the physicality of the UM offense, I imagine he'll want to keep them off the field as long as possible to GET TO ROUND 2".
Its silly that anyone thinks this game will be a blowout for either team. This isn't the Alabama defense of the 2010's. This game will be a really close and intense football game. This running up the score crap is nonsense.

It isn't how you start Corndog...it's how you finish. The OL has gotten better and better and you can ask Georgia all about that. Milroe has a habit of holding onto the ball too long sometimes and that can account for some sacks but right now those big boys are playing well and they are BIG.
Michigan will not outphysical them at the LOS.

As I said this Alabama defense, while good, isn't what it was during the Alabama run during the 2010-2020 period. However, I don't truly know how good Michigan's defense is either. You played not one prolific offense the entire year, so those stats mean next to nothing. Penn St. is anemic offensively and Ohio State is certainly not prolific. The rest of the Big 10 offenses are, for the most part, atrocious. Maryland is one of the few with a pulse and they put up points and you had to hang on for dear life to get the win.

Harbs is gonna have to figure out how to keep #65 from sealing our outside contain all game...if Milhoe can't bounce outside, the Gumps are fricked. If he does, it's gonna be a long game.
I mean, hell, wtf is Latham even doing in Tuscaloosa? He should be up in Wisconsin, eating cheese and fricking hairy armpit chicks in Madison, IMO!

Yeah, I think the Bama OL is a lot better now than they were. However, I think UM’s front 7 is better than UGA’s. They’re very good at inside stunts, and their linebackers fill in the gaps well. It’s going to be a duel on the trenches.

He throws the ball better than you think and has another gear. Georgia had TWO spies on him and still didn't stop him when it counted.

Bama also has 2 really good receivers than stretch the field. Outside of MHJ, how many receivers has Michigan had to contend with? I say not very many. Mich will have to hit home with the pass rush on a QB like y’all haven’t seen this year.
