Can we just start by eliminating early signing day (just have 1 national signing day in Feb like old times) and push the transfer portal window to some date shortly after that. This is very easy to do and does not require an act of congress.

UGA will have a couple of quality RBs for 2026 no matter who leaves or who comes. Gotta stop being attached to certain players. They come and go.

Well yeah… our SEC talent is getting poached in the name of fairness.
LSU won the title in 2019 with mostly Louisiana talent supplemented with minimal out of state talent.
Similar for previous LSU / Georgia / Bama / Florida teams.
I’m not surprised that people with no talent in their base to pull from are loving this new system.
What set college football apart from the NFL was not only the school pride but also the state pride.
As an LSU fan, I take no pride in poaching from Ole Miss, Bama, Georgia, and freaking Hawaii but that’s the new reality.
We used to be able to follow our in state recruits from HS through college and through the depth chart. Now we’re waiting for the playoffs to end to see who we can take from a different team.
What fun is it beating Ole Miss with Mississippi players?
What fun is it beating Bama with Alabama players? Seems dumb to me.
I can watch the Saints if I want to watch my team with players from all over the country.
