and saban thought houston nutt was a great coach (re: wanted him to coach lsu)....or he was just trying to sabotage us on his way out

fact is that bert hasn't done anything yet. But you may be right about his big six success esp given his style of play

And handsome. You forgot to mention that Bert is very handsome, Eric.

They should call his Spring speaking engagements the "Bert is handsome, Bert is fat" Tour. The endless lines of groupies would be staggering.

He is also the first to strike fear into the opposing coach by making him feel like he is apart of his food chain.

I like him, but I do not see it just yet. He has been there 3 years and only has a 0.488 win percent. Historically, the Hawgs are at 0.574.....

I think that's somewhat true but somewhat foolish with the 'never' and 'could only dream of' comments. Have a few really good seasons and you'll get good recruits- unfortunately many wouldn't come from in state, that's our main problem in regards to recruiting.

Good point. I hope we see more balance with talent and success begets success

So many people are pure nuts and bolts. But there's a lot more to it than that. He inherited a disaster.

How long can Bielema supporters use this excuse? This year he should have all of his own guys on the team.

You do realize after the shitshow he inherited, even the players he was receiving had to be coached "way" up. You already knew that though, and knew it would take time to build a brand, so troll away.

I think this is used when people use his overall W/L record as a barometer indicating his lack of success.

I understand what you are saying, I hope he succeeds there too. My kid starts her first year in Fayetteville this year. I will pull for you guys (after my dawgs).....if he is what some say he is, he should show it his 4th year.

Your right , I am sorry the team was falling apart when he took over . I mean Petrino did struggle his last 2 year at Arkansas.

Petrino had convenient timing of his firing. Petrino probably would have been lucky to get to a bowl game the year he was fired.

Bielema came in after a lame duck coach for a year. He totally changed football program. We went from swinging for the fences in recruiting and settling on mediocre talent to methodically recruiting mostly 3 star talent with great work ethic and drive that will more than likely last until their 5th of college in the team.

Bielema has been mostly developing bench players this whole time. We have had like one player arrested each of the past two years (remarkable for SEC standards), best grades GPA ever at school, very low turnover rate once players get here. Increased his winning totals each year despite always playing a top 3 hardest schedule (according to other publications).

Sir, you are quite right. I stand corrected and please accept my insincere apology because Hell Yeah we argue a point without a slide rule and scientific calculator. Get a few more posts under your belt and your Geek Squad buddies at Best Buy won't know you.

I agree with this, It is time for Coach Bielema's system to kick in. He was working to have 85 Uncommon Men. He should be there.

If he has something better, we should see it this season.
