I'm not familiar enough with your recruiting to argue with you, but from an outsiders perspective I'm having trouble buying it. Arky fans have said their troubles in the SEC these past two season stemmed from poor recruiting and lack of talent. You then signed the 11th ranked class in the conference. It may have been a move in the right direction, but I'm not sure claiming it as "really good" can be anything more than blind faith.

Getting the 30th ranked class after the past two years we've had is nothing short of remarkable. To argue otherwise is just blind trolling.

Not at all....all of our OL are highly recruited. Possibly the best haul since, I can remember.

If you have good line play in this league, you can be good.

But, I apologize for bringing legit football talk to your troll thread.

Kentucky did better and they have much less to sell than Arkansas. Ole Miss, UF and AU all had horrible years followed by outstanding recruiting classes in the recent past. Call it a troll if you will, but I thought I was being fair and reasonable.

Kentucky did marginally better and they signed several more players.

But troll on man. Better pace yourself though, it's early.

Considering we were 0fer last year, I think our class could have been a lot worse. I wish we could have pulled higher rated talent at LB, but I like our pull on OL, WR - and long term at QB.

All in all, I wouldn't say it's an outstanding class at all. I also wouldn't say it was a bust. I wish we would tap more of the TX pipeline

Kentucky also signed 29 players, spitting distance to Ohio, where Stoops is from.

Arkansas ranked #23 last season on 247 with 215 total points....Arkansas ranked #30 this season, with 213 total points....it's the same type of class we always have.

A good job considering we are 2-14 in league play the last two years.

So marginally worse than Kentucky is "really good"?

I expect Arkansas fans to have a better understanding what a troll is.

And still had a higher average per recruit, more 4 stars, more 3 stars and fewer lower than 3 stars recruits.

Would you call those classes "really good"?

Like I said, it may be a step in the right direction, but it seems maybe you guys are over selling it. You know the recruits Arky got much better than I, so maybe I'm just too ignorant to discuss this with you.

Come on Widdy, be real. Having a bad season isn't in the same realm as a coaching scandal, followed by John L. Smith, followed by 0-8. It's been a shite storm on the Hill for two solid years, and we just got the 30th ranked class. Not too shabby if you consider the situation.

Nah. Given the circumstances it's actually really good.

Fair enough. I'm not selling Ark short. I think you guys have enough talent to be dangerous next season. You likely won't win many SEC games, but you could win any one of them (assuming you find a way to get competent QB play).

If we don't - it's going to be a VERY long year.

Don't even get me started on that tweet. Jen needs to shaddup on social media for sure. Hopefully she learned her lesson

no shite...her job is to look hot and be silent.

No trolling, had Arky won a game since that? I know she posted that to Wisky fans but it right around the Rutdgers game.

Part B of the master plan is to avoid "burning out and/or risking injury" in those meaningless bowl games. It is the BCS NCG via the new 4 team playoff or BUST for Arkansas going forward.

Just did some research no she tweeted that on Sept 15 and our last win was on Sept 14.

So you admit, you can expect the same results, 2-14 in league over the next two years....pigs gonna pigs

I haven't jumped too deep into arky's recruiting class, but on the surface i like what they're doing... tons of good OLs combined with speed guys from Florida is a combo that can work... and they got a potential 3/4 year starting QB who's already enrolled.

they're still gonna lack the top end talent at certain positions like WR and LB to make any real run at a west title... but it's headed in the right direction, imo.

Theneed a QB, plain and simple.

Allen just doesn't have it but he will be the guy under center again. Collins will get the lions share of carries so hopefully he wont get hurt with all the touches.
