Just watch MSU vs LSU replay for clinic in stopping that run game.

well, that's an unfair comparison. Tennessee played a different QB in the Alabama game, a quarterback that accounted for about 80 yards on the ground. Tennessee QBs were sacked for a total of -45 yards against Florida and -45 against Ole Miss.
Transitive properties are meaningless, but it does make you wonder why a QB who hasn't played the whole year was able to run for almost 80 yards on them so easily (I saw some of the runs and Dobbs isn't a speed burner - his long run of 30 could have been stopped at the line but a Bama defender just missed the tackle). Also, they had like 140+ rushing yards at half.

LSU will be able to move the ball on the ground. My guess would be 190-220yds. But in order to win the game, Jennings will need to put up some points with his arm.

I think LSU can stop the Bama passing game.
Wow...see how easy that was

Our rush offense is among the worst in the sec and we nearly broke 200. Probably the best you can hope for is slowing them down a bit.

This was my biggest 'flaw' of the game. Other than the UT game, Bama has been extremely solid against the run. Dobbs' scrambling ability definitely helped, but the Vols still had more success with the traditional game than I would have guessed. Hopefully, that was an anamoly.

You realize, as you said one run for 30 yards was on a missed tackle. Minus that, he had 45 yards on 19 attempts. That's not"easily".

They had 180 at games end.

Alabama coach Nick Saban impressed with LSU's running game
LINK
Alabama coach Nick Saban isn't keeping count but he has taken notice of LSU's propensity to run the ball.
Like LSU, Alabama has this week open before the two teams meet Nov. 8 in Tiger Stadium.
In the past three games - all victories - LSU has run the ball 50, 51 and 55 times and compiled 762 yards, an average of 254 per game. Leonard Fournette has twice rushed for more than 100 yards in that span and has rushed for 657 yards and seven touchdowns on 131 carries for the season, a 5.0 average.
"They might run it 50 times a game - I didn't know the stat - but they are running it very effectively," Saban said on the SEC coaches teleconference Wednesday. "He's (Fournette) a really good back. They've got a good offensive line, they control the ball. It's an effective way for them to play with the players they have. They've done a really good job of it.
"It's difficult to defend because it's not what you play against typically in college football right now."
Saban said he's using the off week to get better in time to face a Les Miles-coached LSU team for the ninth time. Saban leads the head-to-head series 5-3, including the last three.
"We don't look at it like a personal thing," Saban said. "They've got a real good team, good players. They've done a good job through the year, they do what their players can do well. That's always difficult to defend, whether it's offense, defense or special teams.
We have a lot of respect for what they do. We have a lot of respect for their players, the coaches and the program."
"I think Les has done a fabulous job there in recruiting and developing players. They have a little bit of the same issue as we do. Sometimes when you have a lot of guys go out early for the draft, it makes you a young team. Their team has developed nicely, playing their best football right now."

LSU folks must have just discovered the transitive property theory this year. 'Cause they're all over that shite to try to prove a point.

Congratulations.
You held a heavy lean passing team in West Virginia to a low total.
Then Alabama played Southern Miss and Fla. Atlantic
We all know how strong Florida's offense is this year had just over 100.
Ole Miss is ranked 84th in rushing yards in the entire country. Good job stopping them, because obviously, running the football is their forte.
Let's go to that dumpster fire that is A&M. Are you really impressed with that game?
Then on the road, BAMA gives up 180+ yards to a team that's 116th in the country in rushing vs. an OL that is nothing but a bunch of high school kids, basically.
I'm sure I'm not the only one that has congratulated BAMA on all these hard fought, Top 25 GOOD wins.
I'm not predicting an LSU win at all, because I think it's going to be alot closer than I thought it would be earlier in the year. LSU's OL and running game is peaking at the right time.
Nothing will give me greater joy this year, considering LSU is out of the NC hunt already, than to knock BAMA out of it. Just to see the media's darling knocked out of it. That and to see you rednecks completely meltdown. Because lets be real. Once BAMA is out of the NC hunt, the fans are absolutely entertaining to watch.

unless LSU can complete some down-field throws I agree

Arkansas's rush offense is also one of the best in the SEC and was held in check by Bama's defense. I would like to think the UT game was an anomaly, but maybe it wasn't. I don't think you can judge Bama's defense on the UT game just like I don't think you can judge LSU's defense on the Auburn game. It should be a hard hitting game November 8, and I would guess both teams will move the ball on the ground as that is what both teams generally do

Why did you skip the Arkansas game?
