Watching the Rams/Seahawks game reminds me of the SEC that many of us grew up on. I much prefer a 20-13 defensive game to some of the glorified 7 on 7 games that we've seen lately. Hopefully the defenses will catch up soon.

yeah, while offense is nice, a good defense is something to appreciate.

Won’t happen until there are some major rule changes, IMO.

No we aren't going to get the 20-13 games like this. But, hopefully we can at least find a happy medium or something. The top teams in the conference shouldn't be consistently playing each other with totals in the 70s and 80s.

MSU didn’t score a TD several times this season, the old school SEC is there if you know where to look.

UGA 14 KY 3 was an old school game aided by the ban of the forward pass by Eddie Gran.

Kentucky should get partial credit for UFs SEC east title for all the UGA injuries that occurred in this game.

Kentucky playing 3D chess still playing defense, when those offenses start fizzling out.

Exactly.

Need to make the Linemen downfield 1 yd and enforce it to remove the RPO.

Also need to keep the flags in the pocket more for Defensive PI and holding. The NFL playoff games today have been great to watch because there isn't a flag every other play.

You and me both! I really don't like this brand of football. Yeah, it's nice to watch BAMA put up points, but the style of play isn't nearly as fun. The fundamental toughness of the game that was so prevalent all my life is gone.

Two tights or a fullback with the QB under center is nearly non-existent. I miss running between the tackles and play action. It's still the best football there is in my opinion.

I’m fine with points being put up, the offenses extend the game more so there’s going to be more drives/opportunities to score. What bothers me is the softening of the sport.

It was a hard hitting, physical game. Old school.

Ironically major rule changes are the reason we are seeing an uptick in mediocre defenses.

Sorry, but no.

Offense is the name of the game. At the end of the day, it’s the team that scores that wins. Take the 99 gamecock team, one of the better defensive teams in the country...... 0-11. Couldn’t score.
