SEC formed in 1932 with both Alabama Polytechnic Institute and Louisiana State

After World War II former LSU coach Bernie Moore became commissioner of the SEC. It was under his watch that the SEC offices were moved to Birmingham, Alabama.

Here is a quote from Bernie Moore's wik page LINK

Frank Rose, former University of Alabama president, said Moore's "energies, his demand for total integrity, and his devotion to clean sports and good academics have left their mark on the campuses of every SEC member. For that, we are grateful."

Alabama and LSU are family, Clemson is not. You know what The Godfather says.....

In the 1890s, Walker Reynolds Tichenor was a QB at both Auburn and Georgia.

So the two fan bases who have been shitting their pants over Alabama's alleged ability to beat the Phoenix Cardinals, Jesus and his team of resurrected apostles, and anyone else (including themselves by 4 touchdowns) are fans of the two institutions who put the SEC offices in Birmingham?

I learned something new.

And before his scorched earth March to the Sea campaign, William Tecumseh Sherman served as the first superintendent of the Louisiana State Seminary & Military Academy. Bastard...

Clemson's founder was such a genius that he wanted his university to be designed after Mississippi State University. He was a true visionary. Clemson should be thankful for Mississippi State.

Bernie Moore is a great LSU Tiger and a Great American.

Everyone can be forgiven for one misfortunate decision.

Yes

Point being both Auburn and LSU were aware of the move to Birmingham.

I think many of the younger posters forget this shared history and vision.

We may razz each other on here but if we let ourselves get divided when dealing with those from the outside we will just become the Big 12.

Yes but it wasn’t always that way. There always was an element of trolling but there used to be serious discourse on here and I’ve been lurking TD since 2007. The trolling and trash shite posting has taken over though. Satan, Lucifer, Beelzebub. Leviathan, or whatever you wanna call him LOVES SEC football because it brings out some serious evil and hatred in people.

So if UGA has loaned AU Fields, would he still go to Ohio State?

Had many a class in Tichenor Hall, built in the 30's, named after Auburn's 3rd president, Isaac Tichenor. Wonder if there was any relation.

Not even close

Even on this thread I am running 2:1 or 3:1 and I feel at least a few are my Tater stalkers.

I have seen some on here where the down votes were in the 100's with fewer up votes than I already have. Nice to see such a simple post about SEC history has you so rustled tho. Guess that is why there is no ACC rant and your conference is still controlled by the NC schools who have no football prowess. Would chap my arse too if I were a Tater getting all that football press and $$$$ just so rat face in Durham could spend it on bouncy ball.

I am not laughing with you my man, I am laughing at you.
