Last summer's fishing trip, and its obvious danger to Ingram and Julio's eligibility, is what I HOPE was the "aha!" moment that crystallized the risk they face, and got these guys to document their shite...
And
at Luke and his amateurish attempts at "inside sources"...GTFO poser, all you'll do is wait for something, ANYTHING to be rumored so you can say "see, I told you all! I really DO have inside sources ((please believe me, I'm so alone))..."

If he lies to investigators he's done with college ball. They are very serious about cleaning up what is turning into a massive agent problem in the SEC. I'd expect by the end of this 10-15 schools to be named and 20+ players, possibly more. There are some very nervous people in the SEC right now and that usually means they knew about it and that's a bad thing.

If it was only Dareus at this party, then I would think that he was up to no good.
But the rumors are saying there were 25 or so high profile players at this party. Which leads me to believe that they didn't know what was going on. I mean, can you remember a case where 25 college athletes decided to attend the exact same party at an agent's house? I just have a hard time believing that all these kids would risk their eligibility and their careers all over (1) party.

I agree that there are a lot of nervous people, but I don't think it means they "knew" about it at all. Nobody wants their guys impacted by something like this, and they know that they are always one boneheaded or selfish move of a 19 year old away from a shitstorm.
Hell, the vast majority of FANS are nervous too, for those same reasons...that doesn't mean they KNEW something...people just don't want to get stuck to the NCAA tar baby.

Reports should come out soon, if not already out, this was more than just one party and it appears to have been a regularly scheduled party like once per month or every 3rd month type thing. Agents have been around a couple of programs in the SEC very heavily the last 4-5 years, and others in general but a couple of programs have a ton around them. The people are nervous because they've known about it and just not cared because that's what happened at USC and they just got throttled by the NCAA for this issue.

I know for a fact that some of the board of directors at LSU were absolutely ape-shite over some agents in the spring. A few of them tried to get into our Spring Game and Les threw a fit.

Let's say the rumor is true and there were 25 at this party. Communication being what it is these days, NOBODY knew? C'mon.
For the sake of discussion, pretend they didn't know. How many left the party when they did know, returned home, and reported the incident to their school's compliance personnel?

You know, I've been wondering about this exact thing. There have been A LOT of photos of D1 athletes cuttin' up in South Beach floating around...it hit me when this party story broke. Made me question the fact there were (reportedly) so many players at this thing. Seems a little weird that they all were able to coordinate like that for a one-time party.

Chances are, not. The NCAA does not possess the power of subpoena or compelling testimony. That's why the Reggie Bush affair dragged on forever. They won't get text messages unless someone feeds them to the NCAA (or a 3rd party such as TMZ).That tells me someone is dropping dimes in this case.

I've noticed the same. I don't know if the others were smaller or what but from the sounds of it there were more parties than just this one in south beach.

Another thing that would support this being Lane Kiffin is that this came as an anonymous letter. Anonymous letters come from chicken shits. Lane Kiffin is a chicken shite.

If you are a current athlete and tell them to go pound sand they pull your elgibility and laugh back at you. They can at will get this information from the schools if they ask it of a player you either give it up or you give up your time at college, that's your choice. They can't do anything after you've left but while you're there.

I honestly don't know but if I were a betting man that'd be my guess. Also UNC did a very exhaustive investigation on this and they named names of other schools players at this party in question gave dates and the whole 9. This is one you won't see a cover up on because of so many schools involved if one lies they're in a world of hurt.

Well, the dude from North Carolina definitely knew. So you think that 25 players would knowingly and willingly risk their eligibilty and career to go to this party?

Hell if I know. But we'll all find out soon enough.

Bush could afford to tell the NCAA to pound sand because he was long gone, but these players want to play this year. If they do want to play, the NCAA will get what they want w/o the need for subpoenas.

I think people are stupid and reach for the turbo charged Justifier in an attempt to convince themselves they aren't doing anything wrong.
All? Probably not, but there is no way I believe 25 players would show up w/o a clue as to what was going on.
