? Mike Leach is one of the best coaches of the last 20 or so years. If he were at a big time program with competitive resources he would be right back on top. It won't be long until somebody gives him a shot at a big time program.

I wouldn't say he's been unsuccessful at Wazzu.
Success is relative. Wazzu was pretty damn awful before Leach arrived.
Hard to believe that in this century Wazzu was once a school that the greatest program in the history of ever turned to for their next head coach.

I agree. Personally, I think he has been successful. Some people would disagree.

or you can get really lucky and coach a phenom in high school who just happens to be living with a powerful Ole Miss booster, totally coincidentally at the same time that the phenom commits to Ole Miss you get a job at Ole Miss then a major motion picture gets made about said phenom player thus raising your profile

Let's face it: Most football players aren't very intelligent.

I don't respect hypocrites, especially those who use the Bible and God as a crutch but doesn't walk the talk, especially when recruiting players. Anyone who openly encourages all the booze, whores, drugs, etc when dealing with mostly 17-18 yrs olds is just deplorable. Now we see what that gets you and your program which is now a total embarrassment to the SEC.

I remember when people were saying similar things about Charlie Weis...
Todd Haley too... But seriously, I think it's kind of cool to see those kind of guys succeed.

I never said the guy couldn't coach but if you think he's not a nut and loonie tune then you are one too. I doubt he will ever be hired by a major school because he is crazy.
