so 4 years HC experience at the FBS level, only 2 in a P5

That’s the same # of years Urban Meyer had as a HC and 2 more years at a P5 program than Meyer had. The is no magic formula that perfectly predicts success

I love how fans with Brian Kelly as their coach are lining up to question Alabamas coach.

The fact that everyone knows this could be one of the factors that played into getting the best they could as quickly as they could

I think the risk of losing DeBoer was why they acted quickly.

Look at the list I posted and remove Elko (who was hired in November 2023) and tell me who is enticing from that list

Funny enough the guy Tulane hired may be the best of that bunch (at least for small schools), but he was from Troy and there's no way Alabama was hiring Troy's HC.

Oh sorry baw, that settles it then, game set match.....I'll delete my account.

College Football network called it a "stunning twist"

It was a snap decision rushed panic hire, I said it then, I'm saying it now and will continue to say it. It was a bad hire which is quite obvious now. It will only get worse as things continue to unravel at Alarbamer. It wasnt the first and wont be the last snap decision rush coaching hire.

The purpose was giving a list of hires that offseason, not to justify their rankings, scholar.

Who on that list do you pick over DeBoer in January 2024?

Note: Elko was not an option as he was hired in November.

You keep talking about the available coaches

Tide fans thought they could get anyone in the college ranks

They laughed at the idea of Dabo

That’s why this shite is so funny

Well that and DeBoer immediately shitting the bed after you crowned him during the Bama/UGA game last year

They're delusional, as has been discussed.

I’m not sure if the clowns attacking the hire after the fact are LSU fans but there are LSU fans defending it. It was a good hire at the time especially under the circumstances. He was the hottest name at the time sometimes, like Meyer it works, sometimes it doesn’t.

Kelly had a long track record of success you can question the contract but that was also as good a hire as you can make.

I don’t think people appreciate what a unicorn Saban was

Highly debatable. I would argue he has a long track record of hitting his ceiling.

He cant get away from his pre-conceived notion that Bama could only hire soneone on his little list. They could have probably gotten just about anyone in the world they wanted.

“Lanning said he never thought about it so it must be true that this list was the only available coaches”

I literally started outside of that list.

You've failed to produce a better option. Page 3.

This is literally not true. They couldn't even get interviews with top guys.

Except they couldn’t. Dabo, Kirby, Lanning all passed.
