UVA will always be a school where the students and alums care more about the school itself than their sports.

I don't think they would be considered a blue blood.

Their all time winning percentage drags them down but Izzo has made huge strides during his tenure which started in 1995 (!)

A 2nd title for Izzo would be the icing on the cake of a great career. This is his 8th Final Four so he's long overdue for another natty.

There's "caring more" then there's "not caring at all". Don't conflate the two.

No I'm saying they don't care at all.
UVA students and alums don't give a shite about their sports. (from my experience)
They care more about the SCHOOL of UVA.

I work with a few grads, sure they do the bracket because everyone does in the office. But they just give more shits about the University of Virginia, not the Virginia Cavaliers.

Well what about Duke then?

They won their first title in the 90s.

Quit asking fricking questions and bothering me!
They have an exemption because they're smart....ya see smart = old in blue blood evaluations...now quit being obtuse.

The school is smart, not the players.

You need to mellow out.

I just fricking with you, man! Some sportswriter somewhere a while back used the term "blue blood" to describe schools who've been elite in their sport for a good while. I'm sure the fact that Duke is a very prestigious academic institution helped put them into that classification, too. Regardless, the entire discussion subjective, so...

Whew, thank the lord in the sky you were just fricking with me. I was about to be SO mad.

I dont think academic has anything to do with Duke being a Blue Blood.

Duke is top 4 in national titles and has won all of there's recent. They're a blue blood.
They're also top 4 in final four appearances and title game appearances.

Our team has done well in the underdog role. If we execute and hit 3s I like our chances. We didn’t play that great against UK and was able to pull it out.

We played them in the Chik fil a bowl in 2011 and their fans were as intense as any SEC program I’ve ever been around. Some were overly obnoxious but when the victory was in hand they didn’t talk shite like another fan base in the east.

Two questions OP:

1. What were your predictions for Auburn vs UNC?
2. How about Auburn (without Chuma)?vs Kentucky?

Lastly, banning yourself for 36 hours after you are embarrassed is not a ban. That is just you being a bitch and not taking what you deserve.
