He definitely had them well prepared to play for all 4 quarters, which was refreshing to see.

I still think that game was more about the disaster that has become the 2022 Oklahoma Sooners, and how crippled they have become without their starting qb. Their coaches also had a horrendous game plan imo, but maybe some of that is to credit Sarkisian and Co. for stifling it.

No
us LSU fans don`t have to worry about BK.He is the 2nd
most winningest coach in college football behind NS.
The man took over a program that had 35 schorlship players
for their bowl game.LSU has 0 dept.He had to piecemeal
the team together this season.Laugh now but you won`t be
in a couple of years.

Lincoln Riley saw the writing on the wall and bolted.

Same Gus Malzahn formula. Malzahn gets credit for one thing, taking the right job at the right time and leaving at the right time.

Venables was an idiot for not checking into the situation more, or he was just willing to take the chance and probably get assurance that he would be given time.

Yet you were lucky to escape bothn games with their teams with a win.

How about giving them some credit instead? You won't because deep down you know Bama is overrated asf this year.

I have no doubt that Texas is improved this year, and it looks like Ewers will be great before long. He already makes some incredible throws that would be considered elite at the NFL level. Both lines also look much improved.

As for OU, we knew we'd be in trouble if Gabriel went down. I don't think anyone thought his backup would be this bad. I also don't think we saw a QB that bad through the entirety of the dreadful '90s.

The 3rd-stringer was out with some type of allergic reaction, but there was frustration that they didn't bring in the true freshman Evers until the last series. Other than a pick-6 on every throw, it couldn't have gotten much worse than what Beville was doing.

Yes, I'm sure Riley knew even tougher times were coming, and that was a huge part of his decision to start over somewhere new. It was nice of him to take our elite players with him to USC, though those were "his guys" anyway. It's hard to blame the players for following their coach if they believed it was their best chance at success.

As good as the Big 12 looks this year, it's gonna be a long, hellish season if OU can't figure out why they're falling apart on defense. Getting our QB back should help tremendously on offense. Without Gabriel, we might as well go back to the wishbone.
