Idiot, I'm no LSU fan but Alex Box was a guy from Mississippi who was killed in the War. Probably be a good idea to learn who you're smearing you damn fool.

We and Bama have the toughest conference schedules this year. Sorry you don’t follow.

Yet, because MSU's strength of schedule is currently 108, their RPI sucks. What gives?

The stadium section (and LSU's previous baseball stadium 200 yards to the north) were named for Simeon Alex Box, an LSU letterman (1942), Purple Heart and Distinguished Service Cross recipient, who was killed in North Africa during World War II.

Just wanna set the record straight even if our own fans don’t know it.

We know, but very few LSU fans know their stadium is named after a Mississippian.

But could he ever hope to have hated OM like Dudy.

quote:

Speaking on his time spent in Oxford Dudy Noble once told a Tennessee sports writer: “I already know what hell is like. I once coached at Ole Miss.”[14] Noble once owned a bird dog, a lazy mutt that refused to hunt. Dudy Noble named him “Mr. Ole Miss.

Alex Box was from Quitman, MS and was a great baseball player at LSU and then was KIA in North Africa in 1942. His younger brother Dr. Ben Box is a retired OB/GYN Doctor that practiced in Meridian before retiring. He is still living just outside Meridian.
Great respect for the Box family and what they mean to our LSU friends.

I have always enjoyed our baseball rivalry and never seen it as acrimonious in any way. Fierce on the field but generally friendly with the fans. I realize we each have a few idiots on this board that try to ruin it for the rest of us. But I have had lots of interaction with LSU fans at baseball games over the years and have always enjoyed our conversations.

Oh come on. “Nowhere near” is a stretch.

Your baseball stadium is named after a slang term for a vagina.

Normally your witty response would be funny. But you’ve just insulted a World War II veteran. I see you’re either a fascist or a communist and hate America. How should I direct the twitter mob to ruin your life?
