I heard Georgia always took advantage of a weak SEC East to make it to the SEC ....

Championship game and beyond.

Now - there are no divisions.

And Georgia makes it to the SEC Championship game again.

LSU and Alabama can go - if they buy a ticket. Maybe it wasn't the divisions after all.

Have I seen this thread a lot lately, or am I imagining that?

Former SEC East vs. Former SEC West this season:

Florida: 3-1
Vanderbilt: 2-1
Tennessee: 2-1
Georgia: 2-2
Mizzou: 2-2*
Kentucky: 1-1
South Carolina: 1-3^

* one game left vs. Arkansas

^ got hosed by the refs vs. LSU

Regardless of how the Mizzou/Arkansas game turns out, the former SEC East will finish with a winning record vs. the former SEC West this season.

The "Mighty SEC West" is imo a brief time from 2008-2014 when Bama, LSU, and Auburn were all regularly in the title mix + some bursts from Miss state & Ole Miss.

It died years ago after Dr. Saban kept it on life support, but the legend still lives on in the form of inflated egos and SOS checks from delusional fans who have never actually researched year by year SOS rankings.
