People who have been paying attention already respected what Miles did over the last seven seasons at LSU but I can understand why bama fans would have trouble tipping their cap to a program they view as a little brother (they view everyone as a little brother fwiw but that is another thread)

I liked his comment about "it would be an honor to play that team again" and would not rule out playing Bama again if both LSU and Bama won their remaining games.

BUT, I think that should require losses from Stanford, Ok State, and perhaps OU before Bama is considered. The BCS computers and pollsters may not share the same feeling but the teams who have already played (LSU/Oregon, LSU/Bama) have results on the field and unless everyone else losing forces the issue a rematch should not be intentionally produced.

And yes of course many if not most LSU fans would hope for a rematch if they had been the ones who had lost - just like many Bama fans are hoping right now. The game was very close and a rematch might produce a different result

And Les Miles still wants a rematch!!!

Hey turder,

I guess reading comprehension isn't one of your skill sets. Miles saying he would "not mind" a rematch is not tantamount to "Bama deserves another shot" or "given a choice, I want to play Bama again."

Your team lost. YOUR TEAM LOST, AT HOME and you think your boys deserve a second chance? You haven't earned the rematch.

And as far as what Les said on the sidelines after the game about minding a rematch, your coach, players, and fans could learn a lesson or two from Les' humility. You can even see it in the LSU players praising Bama after the game.

Conversely, only TR gave LSU props. All the other quotes from Bama players were so full of whining, and buts and ifs, it was sad to see them completely unable to give the BETTER TEAM its due.

Laughably it seems that's the only reason you choose to respect him now! That's funny.

I actually stated in this very thread that Miles earned my respect by out-coaching Saban two years in a row. Do you not read well?

Good thing your coach has big enough balls to compensate for all the small balls in Louisiana.

You are such a good representation for your team. I bet bama posters are proud to have you

It's coach speak. Did you expect our classy coach to say," no, they don't deserve a rematch. They couldn't even make it to our redzone once. I could beat Saban with my players, then turn around and take his players and beat him. " somehow I think all bama fans would be calling LSU butthurt if we even mentioned a rematch after you beat us in DEATH VALLEY.

fwiw Miles was asked about playing Stanford, OSU, etc yesterday during his luncheon and he said he would be honored to play them too just like bama because it means LSU is in the NC game.

Don't know why you post there. They've let that place go to shite over the last few years. I used to post there a bunch before they decided to make it a poor man's tiderinsider. For every 1 level-headed poster, you've got 4 posters shitting on the board.

Of course not. But he easily could have said, we respect Alabama and they are a great team, but I believe another team should get a shot as a conference champion, etc, etc. Nobody would have blamed him for taking that stance. He didn't....he said if Alabama is clearly #2 at the end of the year, it would be an honor to play them again. He's a man

And that's why people should respect miles because he is classy and understands the situation. He doesn't care who he actually plays as long as he is in the BCSNCG.

Exactly. Miles understand his team is on the cusp of a BCS title game appearance. Miles understands there are quality teams out there that could line up against LSU in Nola. He welcomes ANY challenge. So does his team. Miles understands his team may be lined up against OSU, OU, Oregon, Boise, Stanford, or Bama again. Regardless, he understands where his control lies and will have his team ready.

He will NEVER say which opponent may not be worthy enough but he will say he looks forward to preparing and playing 60 minutes of football and getting the W.

Any of you Bammers who think Miles is anointing your team as the one he wants in Nola to the media is sadly mistaken...just another one of the many things you don't understand.

No shite does not want to play us again. I don't blame him.

He said what he said out of respect, which is something your dumb arse knows nothing about

I have always liked Miles

There's a big difference between being "scared" of a rematch and just not thinking that Alabama deserves to be on the same field with us again this year. Alabama had their chance, and they GOT BEAT. Get over it
