This strain is like the common cold and if you follow South Africa it’s already burning our quickly and cases are falling dramatically

Why you would lock down for this beyond insanity. To be honest protocols should be reduced not enhanced. This is the beginning of the end in my humble opinion

If you have an anxiety disorder over this then it’s your problem. The world does not need to stop for these people

We're retarded if we lock down. There's absolutely no way a lockdown will prevent the spread of this variant, and this variant is significantly less dangerous than its predecessors.

Why prevent it from out competing the more deadly strains?

We're past the point of ridiculous now. Omicrom is super contagious and very mild. It's going to run through the population no matter what.

It’s time to lockdown again. Covid is out of control and sports aren’t important when bodies are being stacked like a cord of wood everywhere you look

It's all about protocols. They are real and they can, with just a little unfortunate timing, continue to change the landscape of sports and people's lives.

NBA Commish Silver actually said something substantial about the NBA players they are tracing. He stated that they have evidence that Asymptomatic players are not spreading the disease. Seeing his data points on this would be interesting given that the assumption is that athletes and people are spreading Covid even when they are Asymptomatic. That might very well have a huge change on protocols if true.

The only qualification I have about that bold statement is that Silver is trying hard to get the incubation period for positive-vaccinated players from 10 days to 6.

But if that is indeed the science, in reality, that's interesting for players of all sports. And for the rest of us.

Omicron is probably going to be the last - or nearly the last - COVID panic news cycle. People are tired of it and are at the point of accepting the consequences of normal life with a seasonal respiratory virus looming over society like they have with influenza.

Don't be After the bs Louisville pulled on, pressure was properly applied.

The SEC is now going with the 7+1 rule for Covid. If you have 7 players and 1 coachz you are playing. No more forfeits and copouts.
