Their defense should be stout. Simmons will be an issue for us, as will Williams. The Longhorns by 2 touchdowns.

Maybe maybe not but this matchup will also be the final game of the year, no other teams compare with this level of talent on either side of the ball and Sayin's first game ever to start will be shaky but there's 15 games for him to get better after that.

Who is Williams? Derek Williams S who is coming off a season ending knee injury last year.

Yeah but his backup is going to be the starter for the defending superbowl champs as a rookie, Derek Williams is the best DB we have injury last year be damned.

Why wouldn't that be the only goal other than a conference title? I want to win the conference but lest say Texas won the SEC Championship game last year and loses in the semis again, nothing changed.

Everyone opposing fanbases perception here is still the same and the narratvie would be "Texas beat UGA since they had their backup QB"

The goal is always the playoffs as it puts you in a position to win the natty, if you cant make the playoffs everything else is pretty irrelevant.

Keep telling yourself that as you lose what 5 openers in a row lol.

LSU v Clemson is bigger than OSU v Texas lol

You should start with realistic goals. Winning at the highest level is not one that is achievable without some generational talent.

I think Ant Hill and Collin Simmons absolutely wrecks their OL and new QB. OSU might do the same to Arch but I think Arch PT last year helps a lot more than throwing Sayin out there against our pass rush.

This isn't a homer, those 2 are elite and will be a problem for this first game.

I know you hate Texas but you honestly think it isn't realistic to win the natty?

Texas has been building a program who like it or not has won at an elite level the past 2 years. We will see if that continues this year but with They have been a game away twice, we will see if this year is the year Texas pushes through to get to the natty.

Let's get one thing straight. I think the state of Texas should go back to Mexico where you all belong. And No. You had a better shot last year, and you always, always find a way to frick it up. It will take another Vince Young

Texas does have o-line injury issues. Specifically offensive tackle issues. A very good player who was competing for the Right OT position got hurt and is out for the year. Our starting LT, expected to be a top 3 round NFL draft pick has a hurt hand and may not play this Saturday. We have another backup OT injured and out this week.

UTrans homers already making excuses for losing their first game of the season. Ranked #1 preseason and the second coming of Christ as their QB?But not expected to win the opener?

Something here is just not making much sense.

They are trying to be "humble". It is like trying to watch a lion behave like a mouse. I have never, ever met a humble Texas fan. I don't think they exist

Sayin has a better supporting cast and offense he is walking into. Smith/Tate and his GCG combo. OSU has the best WRs in the country (again), and I think there are going to be a ton of 2 TE sets out of OSU in this game to help with the pressure. Klare is going to be the third main weapon in the passing game, but also can chip as necessary

I also think Simmons is a bit overrated for all the praise he's getting

Sayin is going to be running for his life or on his backside unless he can get rid of the ball damn quick.
Arch may have the same issues. Yuk.

It doesn't work like that. You don't get to bit wipe all your bravado leading up to this.

Ohio State has just a few elite guys on defense as well.

Maybe in your mind it isn’t… but NCAA football is part of the entertainment industry… in terms of hype, interest, viewership, and dollars gained by the parties involved, Texas vs. OSU should be huge…

We will see. Agree they should keep an extra rb or te to block and let your wrs cook.

Agree osu has a good d too but I think arch will be a little more prepared to handle than sayin
