Yes. This is quite puzzling.

that happened and I can see Jerry Jones' family having him committed to an institution. It would be warranted too.

the last coach to lose two straight to Mississippi State was fired...In 1977

I read something earlier that said no coach on either side has ever lost back to back and retained their job.

I guess Romo needs some work at handing it off.

I think it was Tubbs in 98, then he was at Auburn in 99?

We won four in a row between 1983 and 1986. Did two different coaches lose two in a row back to back?

We won 2002, 2003, and 2004, but I think Jackie Sherril got fired after losing in 02 and 03.

ETA: State's Emory Bellard lost three in a row before being fired.

There is no doubt at this moment that MSU controls the state of Mississippi. Nutt will only get worse and put Ole Miss further in the hole if he stays. They need to answer and quick if they wish to keep from falling further behind MSU.

Mullen owns Ole Miss and the state of Mississippi.

I looked it up:

Tubbs in 98, Cutt in 99

Bellard 83, 84, 85

Felker 86

Sherril 02, 03

Croom 04

Was a rebuilding year for Ole Miss and a payoff year for State. Happens. I'm not sweating it.

I am going to laugh my arse off if Gus Malzahn lands ends up taking Nutts job at Ole Miss.

And then I am going to become scared to death because he might own the state of Arkansas in recruiting if he is actually that much closer than Auburn.

Colorado and Dallas both fired coaches for lack of productive offenses.

And they're considering Dale?

No way.

Jerry wants a coach who will kiss his arse and cash checks.

Nutt has the experience from his time here under JFB.
