That is nothing. The penalty for armed robbery isnt getting kicked off a football team. They need to go to jail.

Dumbass kids do skate, albeit I'm not sure they skate when they commit armed robbery/home invasion.

The issue with these guys is that the felony has been broadcast across the nation. This shite is public knowledge coast to coast, because they were players on the National Championship football team.

IMO, they will receive harsh treatment because they were Auburn players. What the hell kind of precident will the judicial system be making in the state of Alabama if these four are allowed to skate on a felony crime?

I do hope they get a chance to play football, but NOT AT AUBURN... Maybe they can go to N.Alabama, Valdosta State or such... I hope these guys turn their lives around... I guess I am a bad person for wanting that...

They do not deserve another chance to play football. They deserve to spend the next ten years of their lives in pound me in the arse prison.

These are young kids, not grown adults. They deserve another chance.. BUT NOT AT AUBURN...

They'll get a chance to play football - in the prison yard.

And, FYI Mike McNeil is a grown man ~ he is not a young kid.

Sounds like McNeil and a few other of his buddies could care less about doing the right thing ~ evicted twice for none payment of rent?

I hope they get another chance too. In about 5-10.

These guys couldn't even pay their rent. How do you think they can afford N. Alabama or Valdosta St tuition? Surely you're not suggesting that they be given athletic scholarships?

A plea bargain for armed robbery?

People even plea bargain Murder arrest... Happens all the time...

Just one article (there are 100's, Google is your friend)..LINK / (from the lawfiles)

Legislatures create the systems for criminal sentencing and judges determine and impose criminal sentences. Yet, the criminal sentence for most defendants is decided outside of this process. The majority of criminal cases are resolved out of court via the plea bargaining process. In addition, prosecutors often enter into plea bargains because it is the right thing to do. They may feel this compulsion given the facts of the case, or even respect (or even pity) for the criminal defendant (or the defense attorney).

That's exactly what he's suggesting ~ as long as they're NOT AT AUBURN. Those criminals have already tarnished Auburn enough ~ he wants to push them off on Tot Bowden at N. Alabama..

Never.
Just because we haven't reacted yet doesn't mean that all is forgotten. We're just waiting for the right time and that should scare the hell out of you.

Oh that's rich. Commit armed robbery, get off scot free, and receive an athletic scholarship. Hell, there are probably better athletes in prison than those cats. How bout we let em out and give all of em athletic scholarships?

Tiny Terri has shown that he will take players from D-1 programs, I do not hate him, but he was our experiment with Diddy's boy (see Shoola's boy and Dooooley's boy), glad he resigned (should have waited until the season was over).

Take N. Alabama out of the equation, I hope they go to a Div II school and get a chance to play, get an education, and hopefully become productive members of society.

personally - they did what they did, the pissed away their chance.

I believe that everyone should get a second chance, and these guys are no different - but no free ride education, and no athletic scholarships - they can go to a community college for an education and then try and redeem themselves in society - but no chance for a free ride education or Athletic Schollarship.

thats my ambling opinion.,

For the first day it was national news. Anything moving forward will be regional at best.

Cam was charged with robbery, not armed, and he got a slap on the wrist. These morons could go away for a few years but at teh same time i would not be surprised if they didnt.
