With a 7-8 month recovery time, it might be in Tua's best interest to play another season at Bama.
He will not be able to do anything football related until after the draft, 1st round pick is now unlikely. That alone is going to cost Tua millions.
If he fall out of the 2nd round or day 3 of the draft, he would be wasting too much money to go to the NFL next year. We are talking over 10 million lost.
Heal up, play another season at Bama, show NFL teams he is ok and go be a top 3 NFL pick in the 2021 Draft.
That 2nd NFL contract is never guaranteed.

It was heartbreaking to watch what happened to him. Petty rivalries aside, the kid is a gifted talent. Seems to do all the right things. I hope he is able to fully recover and benefit from his talent, effort and hard work all these years.

this is a terribly shitty thing to say.
You can feel sad for a dude while feeling sad for another dude at the same time. It isn't a competition. If you are being judgy on who deserves sympathy more you are doing it wrong.
Good luck to Tua I hope he has a full recovery. Yeah he played for the bad guys but he was never a bad guy.

Will teams risk a high draft pick for Tua, with a injury that they aren't sure he will make a complete recovery from?
If not, why would Tua throw millions away in his 1st contract if he comes back another year and proves he is ok?
A lot of factors here.
Look at Derrick Brown at Auburn, a injury cost him a 1st round pick last year, he comes back this year and will be a top 5 pick. Made himself millions on that decision.

think Tua stays a first round pick too much talent to pass up. Difference may be a surefire top three pick to bottom of the first round. Question is if getting back into the top of the draft enough to stay for.

I feel bad for Tua, but not so much as to think it's the worst thing ever. He will likely cash in a multimillion dollar insurance policy and recover well enough to have at minimum a active life. On balance few people are as fortunate as he has been.

He had 500+lbs fall on top of him smashing his nose wben his helmet ripped off from the impact. It was a freakish injury but just too much weight fell on him in a certain way as to dislocate his hip. Very rare injury and tough to recoverfrom. Most of the time it will require a hip replacement surgery. Hopefully, this won't be one of those times.

Critical condition?
I heard a Tider say they fixin Tua up!
It’s just a dislocated hip and five weeks tops
SEC THIS MORNING with Chris Doerning said Tide has 4th Best playoff chance at 44%
Here it is: OSU 86%, LSU 85%, Clem 84%
and the rest ...
Alabama 44%
Georgia 39% ... Gotta beat LSU
Oregon 28%
Thought Oregon would be higher but guessing that Auburn loss still biting them

Mac better look and play extremely well or Bama will not leave Auburn without a loss. Can't see us running it down their throat.

Mac should of played against LSU & MS.ST. might not be undefeated but at worse a 1 loss team with Tua healing
and still our #1 qb. I can't pretend to know as much as CNS about the health and physical condition of the players, but Tua should have sat out. I hoped the team doctors and trainers would have kept him(Tua)from playing. Saban will ride his #1 until he can't ride anymore. Anyhow, Mac is capable and not without talent. He just lacks valuable game experience that he could have gotten.
